At first the attack went well, arriving near miles away at what once was Vladivostok, but they were soon overwhelmed by a massive retalitory force, and found themselves retreating back to Russia. The Amur War, as it was known, was humiliating for Russia, decreasing the popularity of the goverment.

Capitalizing on the embarassment of the government, came back the old elite. The old military oligarchs of Russia, this time, the party would be lead by Nikolay Skomorokhov, who championed Conservatism and Strong Rule, and who promised would bring back the glory days of Russia. Russia's democracy is under threat, and it will only take some time before it could collapse. As Russian politics remain more divisive than ever, only time will tell if Russia divides itself again.
