Surprising offensive from the Biggonian Caliphate
For the first time in a few months, the Biggonian Caliphate has launched a major offensive action into Imperial territory. Importantly, they were able to cross the Seltsamian-Tallandic border, and enter the Imperial heartlands. Due to the Caliphate not having fought for several months, it means their forces are much more healthy, and alongside the fact that most Imperial troops are deployed against the commonwealth, means that they have been able to easily overrun their enemy. Using a mix of converted civilian cars and captured military surplus, they have launched an effective Blitzkrieg assault.

The Biggonian Empire is currently scrambling troops off their front lines with the Commonwealth to match this incursion, and this has left the other fronts understaffed. Particularly, the front around the key city of Shurdorf. With the recent news that Tussia will send additional reinforcements to Biggonia, the Commonwealth has deemed it necessary to capture Shurdorf as soon as possible, before the window closes. Therefore a general order has been issued to step up the offensive actions against the city, with fighting inside the urban parts itself becoming more intense. Jakob Premmel, the regent of Grenzland, has continuously stated his intention never to surrender the city, however with casualties mounting and the commonwealth making increased progress, this position is beginning to look untenable.
