What are some strange holidays in your NS nation? And why are they celebrated?

Here we have "Victoriinalia" also known as dismemberment day. Basically the people celebrate the dismemberment of the (fictional) Saint Victoria.

This Saint Victoria was an English nun serving Richard I (Rīvdaii Inferniitus, Richard Hell-Server) that lead and won the Anglo-Frankish siege if the orthodox roman city of Antioch. When Empress-consort Irene Doukaina retook the city a certain Victoria was captured, dismembered and burnt at the stake.

Irene Doukaina saw this a fitting punishment as this Victoria almost entirely burnt the city down, as a crusading nun does.

The city of Snowby has an annual scarecrow festival, which isn't too unusual, and they end the festivities with a bonfire night where the scarecrows are burned.

The unusual part is that most of the scarecrows are designed to look like the rulers of Denmark-Norway and Sweden-Norway because these are the same rulers that kept St Scarlett bound to Norway and having its culture suppressed.

The royals are long since dead but the mockery never ends.
