The lack of seniority is a problem solved as time goes by. ;)
Goes without saying that older nations have seen/experienced/travelled more.
But does it really matter how old you are, as a nation ? Remember the saying : In Europe, 100 miles is a long distance. In America, 100 years is a long time. Are the U.S A. less grand for being a rather young country ? I think not.
(compare that to 1139, the year the country I hail from was founded).
The quality of our deeds and of our words. That's all that counts.
