There is no mincing words on this one: I have just been ejected from the World Assembly, and obviously from my delegacy as well, due to moderator decision. As much as I might be compelled to resort to harsher measures and words, I would like to reiterate that peace and calm would be our main instrument at this juncture. We can be sad, yes, but we cannot be pulled into the pace of others if we ourselves live in integrity and righteousness. Also, let us respect the decision of our moderators, who we assume have done it in an informed manner and out of good faith. It might as well be a blessing in disguise, because we have been given an opportunity to prove how our regional government has been geared to respond to sudden events such as this one. We have an entire core of regional officers, active and intact, to step up on the plate when needed. Our vision of anticipatory governance is being demonstrated and our regional stability had not been compromised because many of our regional officers have sufficient influence to work around with most of the functions we have left behind. And for someone who kept talking about the future, I do not really know what comes next for me after this unfortunate incident. Still, as we welcome a new era under our next delegate, let it be always remembered how for a decade hence, we have all contributed to building a Philippines that can proudly stand on the global stage, and a Philippines that can defend its own sovereignty and the integrity of our allies.
