In the Inwitt System Konor

I watched the battle, it had started 15 minutes ago and was still well underway. The Fleet came out of Hyperspace in Konor, a Inwitt planetary system that was known to be a major frontier hub for Inwitt Federation. From what information we had gained from Parakkan Intelligence prior to our defection. We knew that there were approximately 1.9 Billion with a reasonable defence compliment both in orbit and on the surface for what otherwise would be described by the Parakkans as a frozen wasteland. Though the details on the defences were not fully known.

We upon arrival in the system the Inwitt defence forces engaged us in combat, and whilst they were formidable they couldn't match the might of the 8 Basestars and the nearly 5,000 Raiders and Heavy Raiders. However, we took heavy loses, including one Basestar, and 1,800 raiders. Though as we got nearer the planet it soon became apparent that there were 60 orbital defence platforms that are mainly scattered around the equator. which would pose a problem for the Basestars but not necessarily the fighters. In addition with the platforms being located on the equator, it left some openings around the polls. As such the order was given to launch the invasion force, to the northern hemisphere, once they landed in a small settlement there they would use that as a beach head to attack the surface to space defences. They then were to move onto the main command facilities to gather as much intel as possible before withdrawing.

All of this was simply to allow our resource collectors to gather the valuable resources in the asteroid rings that would aid the Cylon Empire with building more ships and Centurions. From the information i had gathered from the Matrix; similar missions had already happened on a number of the more unknown races to great success. Though one race known as the Audririan had been wiped out and their world would be repurposed for the Cylon Empire. The Audririan would was mostly water but with areas of land. Though the minerals that the world contained would come in useful for the Empire.

The Matrix had determined that we would be safe to stay in the system for about two weeks, before a major fleet would arrive. As such once the main space forces had been removed, we can then focus on system patrols whilst the resource ships did they work. Meanwhile we would seek to gather as much information planet side as possible whilst pacifying the local population.

I delved into the Matrix and said "We require additional Basestars to help hold the system. We have lost one." a collective voice replied "3 additional Basestars are on route, this should bring your compliment up to 10. We will also send an addition 30 resource ships, bring your total complement of resource ships up to 45. This system is rich in resources that are required by the Empire. Do not let us down IL-series 141" I said nothing for a hart beat and then replied "By your command Imperious Leader"
