General events in the Imperium of Kriech
YEAR: 2501 After unifaction

The education reforms of 2501 saw the centralization of the various different educational institutions within the imperium and move the responsibility away from the church to the state. It saw an implementation of a standard curriculum for all children from the age of 8 until 20 which sees them thought in philosophy, mathematics, history and preparing those selected for their military roles. This reform will attempt to standardize education and allow a greater amount of prosperity with a better-educated population.

A series of military campaigns into the great eastern hinterland have secured the peace and prosperity of several client kingdoms and saw the establishment of 8 new colonies. These new colonies are already greatly defended by their walls and are expanding their road network between each other and Kriech her eastern border. These colonies are however under threat from hostile kingdoms in the hinterland and various tribes that have been attacking the various trade posts thus forcing a legion to be permanently stationed there to deal with the various hostile factions not yet fully under the control of the Empire. This has caused the permanent dispatched of one of the 30 legions that the empire has available.

In a time of peace cities across Kriech from the eastern cities to the western fertile lands have expanded and increased in their population, due immigration and a population boom. With preplanned urban expansion being carried out to prevent shabby towns from being established. This has seen an increase in efficiency of farming methods used to increase crop yields as much as possible to feed the mouths of the new increased population. This has also come with a great degree of economic innovation and technological innovation.

In the political aspect of things, a rising star within the Military has married into the Royal family. Legatus Legionis Davos Raengyr has married into it and thus increasing his political influence and wealth immensely. As he and his bride are now on their honeymoon in the dragon isles it is expected soon heirs will be born. Meaning that those children unless the oldest son of the King gets a son will be the heirs to Kriech.
