Alright, so I'm a little confused as to the eligibility of voting in elections and participating in government.
"Any Person who is Registered as a Citizen shall be permitted to vote in elections and participate in Government.
Any Person who resides in the region for more than 5 days shall be permitted to participate in and operate political Parties."
The quoted parts of Article 5, Section 1 of the Constitution is the cause of my confusion. The first line states that any registered citizens are eligible "to vote in elections and participate in government", but the second line says they have to reside within the region for five or more days "to participate in and operate political parties." So I guess I have a few questions to see if I can have my confusion cleared up:
1. Does one have to be part of a political party in order to vote in elections and participate in government?
2. If not, does that mean one is free to vote in elections and participate in government before being able to participate in and operate political parties?
you do not have to be in a party to participate in government and vote in elections, and if you are accepted as a citizen before you are a resident you would gain full rights of a citizen which includes being in a party. the allowing for people to participate in parties and own or operate them before being a full citizen is to allow them to start their political career in case of delay on their citizenship for any reason, and in my mind if they were to gain traction via their own party or in another they could pressure to have their citizenship accepted sooner rather then later.
