The people of the Royal Isles of Shalotte, beloved subjects of the Domnaeni, may the Illuoch-taer love and protect her, humbly request to be informed as to what a 'nuclear weapon' is, and how to best go about using their fowling rods to protect against/retaliate against them.

You throw it at a large group of people, and then it goes boom, kills everyone near it immediately and makes everywhere around it unlivable.
So it is very nice.

THE ISLANDER - Áv Gwdlar, 148 Br'ghaéne, 1911 vD

AFTER MISINTERPRETING a message that led them to believe that their fowling rods could be gigantic apocalypse-explosives that would kill everyone, Shalottes across the isles all foolishly dropped their fowling rods at the same time.

Nobody was harmed, though according to polls, most Shalottes have since agreed that simply dropping what they thought to be gigantic explosives was possibly the wrong response.

"Next time someone tells me I might be holding a gigantic explosive device capable of annihilating all life in the vicinity, I'll try not to just drop it on the floor like an idiot next time," said Craethis, from Feldear.

New ladavia

This is my second N-Day and I’m a strategic specialist. This has been so fun to comeback and overtake HOTA as it looked very bleak when I woke up this morning.(Big thanks to our generals.)

As for our political parties in our country; there is currently a coalition party of Green + NDP.

Adaline is new country in this region, and also new player in Nukes day. In this event, I will waiting, see, and learning-by-doing about this event. Anything that I can do to strengthen Potato Alliance, I will do that.

Thank you for your understanding.

The most important thing is to follow orders - all else is secondary!

The telegrams Mount Seymour sent around have a wealth of information, and the Potato Alliance WFE carries backup info.

Welcome aboard :-)

Very impressive turnaround all around this N-Day for the Potato Alliance, especially after the drubbing the Horsemen dished out in the early hours. Well done.

Still more than 8 hours to go, and anything can happen, but I couldn't be prouder of the efforts our alliance has been putting forth, or of the leadership our commanders have given.

I honestly did not expect the tides to turn once I slept. And since HotA is gone, I’m joining in a pretty casual capacity.

N-Day: Who do you think will achieve victory? Potato Alliance, with the greatest comeback story since Secretariat? Ba Sing Se, the sheltered few who took refuge behind their walls and deny the war is even happening? Or will it be the AA, a steady contender settled into the top spot?

Of course, it could be the Four Horsemen, though the number of knives in their back would make even Caesar jealous.

Who hasn't accidentally saved one's sworn enemies from doom once or twice?

Such is the trouble with having many enemies and poor facial recognition.

Meh, they can move.

You started on top, fell to the bottom, and have slowly clawed your way to the top, covered in filth, but no more so than your enemies.

Meanwhile the other two current medallists are AA, who remained respectable if a bit dirtied, and Ba Sing Se, the impregnable fortress that not a single nuke penetrated.

If they were people like Nakarisaune or Frattastan, you’d be quite all right.

Of the 12000 targets on the entire potato alliance, 11000 are aimed at one nation in particular. RIP, El Fiji Grande, you will be missed and honoured.

...And yet, only 8 actually landed. Good job, team!

EDIT: And that's it! We secured a close second place to AA. I'm happy to be completely radiation free for the whole 24 hours and beyond.

Wow nice work guys, did not see that comeback coming.

So what exactly happened? I See HOTA got knocked down, but the Potato faction board says you guys spent the last few hours defending them?

Congratulation on your 2nd place with an Alliance of Potatoes. I was so glad to see you making a great comeback and not giving up after the first big strike that hit you, glad you were able to achieve a top spot in the end. Great job on your part and on the whole Potato Alliance's part. Very Well done!

I went to bed with a couple hours to go, but it's a fair shake that it was because HOTA was completely out of it and not defending itself, so we were attempting to limit the points other groups got from farming them.

What a fantastic showing from our faction! Great work Foresters, allies, and commanders! A special shout out to Mount Seymour for being our lead, liaison, planner, coordinator, and commander. The point reversal involved to go from -60,000 to end where we did is absolutely stunning. As I said who knows how many times in the war room... "Follow Orders!" and things work out.

I do wish I'd had a couple more military specialists in my portfolio so I could have been a more active targeter, but c'est la vie. Of my 27 participating nations, only 7 were military, including this account which got 94% irradiated in the initial bombardment and was therefore very slow to produce (not surprising given my current role in Forest - I'm honestly delighted to have survived!) The others remained untouched though, and it is a testament to our "shield gang" that only 8 missiles made it through during the final onslaught, and we easily held the top shield count even after defending all those attacks! What's more, we also crushed HOTA's strike record from last year, while simultaneously reducing them to a smoldering sea of glass even after they thought they had eliminated us from the game. Seeing their reaction in their Discord when some of them realized that we were leading the attack that took them down added a year back to my life.

Great work everybody!

Nations of Forest,
First, congratulations on your unforeseen comeback, sitting safely in AA it was marvelous to watch! Secondly, I found a remarkable YouTube channel, and we think your leaders should view some of its videos.

Thank you for the compliment, but I have watched more than enough Prager University, thank you very much. They are liars. Pure and simple, and I would highly recommend other sources for your news/commentary.

Not to be rude, but that is a pretty weak statement, and could be countered with the exact same argument. I’m not saying you’re a liar though, and I am interested in what their lies are specifically.

The young ur wrote:Not to be rude, but that is a pretty weak statement, and could be countered with the exact same argument. I’m not saying you’re a liar though, and I am interested in what their lies are specifically.

They lie and misrepresent a huge number of different items in a wide range of videos. From arguing that the electoral college was set up because it gave rural people more power, to that left wingers intend to destroy religion, to the farcical notion that Joe Biden is somehow a socialist, to the massively inflating the number of people killed by communist tyrannies, to the one where they claimed soy was making men effeminate, to the absolutely absurd and evidently false assertion that there's been no global warming since 1997.

And that's just off the top of my head.

Look, I'm not being rude, and I'm not going to waste too much time on this, but trust me when I say that they lie, misrepresent or category error *something* in just about every single video they've ever made. There are much better sources out there, even on youtube, even conservative ones.

And that's not even going into their quizzes that are almost so laughably biased as to almost make you wonder if they are using a 20th century brainwashing technique or are just that silly.

A youtuber called Shaun did a really good series on them, forensically breaking down a number of their videos showing how they predicated on flimsy grounds, built up using faulty logic to reaching a contrairian conclusion. But there are many others as well; in fact, it's almost a cottage industry pointing out that Prager U is wrong.
