Wrote down more than half of the extremely detail-less history segment of my new military factbook. I'll probably write down the rest of it in the next few hours, add in some pictures to beautify it, then begin scratching my head for the rest of the factbook.

His Majesty's Stridecrafts, also called His Majesty's Stridecrafts, is the putoned striderafts answerly for the shielding of the Danelaw, her wanthoods, her befolking and her overseas holdings. They also further the Danelaw's allies, help in Frithbringing Undernimmings and bring forth Friendly Help to crigtorn or otherwise needy ords all around the world.

Since their grounding in 1645, the boughs of the Stridecrafts have fought in a manifoldness of weighty crigs with or against other Great Mights in the world, such as the Holy Romish Burghercrig, the Great Deoch Crig, the Crimeish Crig, the First and Twithe Great Crigs and the Indish Unoffhanghoodcrig. Withhaulingly coming sigeful out of these strides helped the Danelaw ground her Angledanish Riche and show itself to be one of the greatest stridely and worthshipwise Mights in the world. Today, His Majesty's Stridecrafts are made of the Kingly Marine, a blue-water marine with a fleet of 105 seaflack ships (inholding 21 kerneldriven diveboats), together with the Kingly Marineinfantry, a highly-skilled regiment of foot meant to undertake nimmings from sea, land and aloft; the Kingly Heere, the land's mainstay land thenstbough; and the Kingly Loftmight, a technologishly forthstriden loftmight with a wide fleet of flytugs and liftscrewtugs. The Stridecrafts also has three reservist boughs, namely the Standing Reservists, the Freewiller Reservists and the Homewear.

The Overcommander of the Stridecrafts is the King of the Danelaw, now Eadgar IV, to whom soldiers of the stridecrafts swear truefast. Long-standing wones however give de facto befeal, through Kingly Say, to the Stateminister and his cabinet, namely the Crigministry. The Stateminister makes the key sheddings on where and when the send the stridecrafts in the name of the King, and the Crigminister does the daily dealings from the burgher side, while the Generalstaff makes the stridely sheddings. The Lawthing gives her say for the ongoing beinghood of the Kingly Heere through passing a Soldiery Writ at least once every five years -as is needed by the Charter of Rights 1689. Other thenstboughs, reservist or not, do not need the Lawthing's say.

The Danelaw is one of the ten kernelstates, the owner of a standing seat on the OFN Formanship, a grounding and leading limb of the Europish Bound and the Angledanish Gemeanwealth, and an underwriter to a manifoldness of stridely fordrawings with other lands (namely, with Japan, Deochland, Judea, New England, Netherlands, Lusitania and Lithow). Overseas garrisons and bases are upheld in Roebuck, Belize, Bermuda, the Angledanish Gebedes in the Indish Sea, the Falkland Ielands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Suez and Singapore, while the Danelaw has stridely bases in friendly lands such as Lithow, Doha, Greekland, Kenya, Nepaul, Sangebar, Carmathia, Deochland, Japan, Frankriche, the Netherlands and New England.

Gesheede

Angry, rystingless farmers holding farmtools
The base of most heeres in the Middle Elds
Both Angleseaxers and Angledanes have a long gesheede of soldiery. Angleseaxers were a criglike thede and they took, and kept, their lands through strides with its Celtish inlander befolking, while the Angledanes have their gesheede in raiding and amphibish crigfare. Nevertheless, for the early bits of its gesheede, what was to become the Danelaw did not have a skilled heere of her own. Wealthy lendlords had their Riders and crigers who they paid from their own pocket, but the bulk of any heere in England and later the Danelaw would be made of farmers, yeomen and workers who would arm themselves with their own geld. Most would be unskilled in fighting, have no rysting and would even hold whatever tools they would otherwise brook for working, while some would be a criger by trade. It was ferds like these would would fight the manifoldness of crigs the Danelaw fought in during the Middler Eld.

Unlike soldiery which was, like all of Europe at that time, not skilled at all, the Danelaw had a long gesheede in marinely dealings. The Angledanes hailed from two roots with a long seawise gesheede: The Angleseaxers had crossed the Narrow Sea to aover England while the Danes were Vikings who had plundered the whole of Europe thanks to their ships and amphibish dealings. The Marine nevertheless became the first of the three thenstboughs to be grounded under the eld of Queen Gunhilda III. Threatened by the Hispanish Riche's overfall of the Netherlands and the likelihood of crig with the Danelaw, Gunhilda befeatled the building of a standing marine as well as docks, shipyards and a thaning system for that marine. She gave Frans Drake the rank of Lord High Admiral and gave him a fleet so he could make life hard for the Hispanish: This was also the earliest modern amphibish undertaking in Angledanish gesheede. The Danelaw would best the Great Hispanish Armada in 1588, followed by a landing in the Netherlands that she would lead, befreeing that kingdom from the Hispanish yoke in 1595 after 7 years of crig.

Witan's Heere, the first modern heere in the Danelaw
The 17th of April 1645 is seen by today's HMCM as the day of its grounding, and is a holiday in the Danelaw. Three years into the Danelager Burghercrig, Ethelbert, the Witan's King, gave his say to the Witangemoot's Soldiery Law, thus laying the groundwork for a skilled heere that could best the heeres holding truefast to Magnus, who spoke on the throne. The Heere would hold its soldiers' income, food, weapons, rysting and other things needed for that heere to keep on going. The Heere held truefast to the Witan at the time, rather than the King, and would first best Magnus, and then utterly crush the Welsh, Scotch and the Irish in the Fifth Albion Crig in 1673, giving Yorwick grip on all of Albion. The Witan's Heere was not true however, and would throw down its arms and side with the Angledanish folk when they rose up against the Witan in 1688, namely putoning with the Folkheere and marching up to the Thingstead in Yorwick. Here, the Rightscharter laid the truefast of both the Marine and the Heere to the King and his regearing, which is when the two boughs were named what they are now.

Trafalgar set in stone the Danelaw's Mastery at Sea
During the later half of the seventeenth yearhundred and besunderly throughout the eighteenth, the Danelaw sought to tygel forgreatening of other Europish mights -namely Hispania, the Netherlands and Frankriche- through stridely, diplomatish and tradewise means. This would drag the Danelaw fight in a manifoldness of crigs over overseas holdings and world trade, inholding a long string of Hispanish-Danelager and Danelager-Netherlandish Crigs, as well as a manifoldness of mickler crigs with Frankriche such as the Frankish Afterfollowing Crig and the Holy Romish Burghercrig, as well as the Americanish Unoffhanghood Crig. The Danelaw's greatest Outdawn would be the Deoch Crig, a serie of five crigs fought in a span of 27 years. During these crigs, the Danelaw would fight alongside a manifoldness of former friends and foes to keep the Deoch in check, and throughout those 27 years it would methodishly best every other marine that could pose a threat, crushing the Netherlandish in the Slaught of Camperdown (May 1797), the Hispanish and the Frankish in the Slaught of Trafalgar (October 1805), while other likely threats -namely the Danish, Polish and Russish marines- had all blown each other to bits. When the Fordrawing of Wean ended the Deoch Crig for good, the Danelaw had risen to become the Unfraigned Master at Sea.

Redmantles, the Riche's face (1700-1916)
Throughout the nineteenth yearhundred, no longer threatened by her old foes in Hispania (which had mostly slumbered to unknownness), the Netherlands (which no longer cared about the Westsea), Danemark (which had lost its mickleness as a seawise riche) and Frankriche (which was busy being beaten to hell and back by her Deoch neighbors), the Danelaw would busy herself with building a great Riche in Asia and Insulindia. This brought her at odds with the Russish Caserriche who also wanted to build her riche in those places. So the Danelaw would fight Russland straightforwardly in the Crimeish Crig and tygel its forgreatening through overfalling or strengthening Russland's marckles before she could. The Danelaw would overfall Afghanland, Tibet, Nepaul and Persia, while also helping the Ottomanish Riche, Greekland and Persia (again) push off Russish overfalls. The Danelaw would also overfall a manifoldness of weaker lands for the means of forsettling: Namely the two Opiumcrigs with China and the Expedition to Abyssinia, while also overfalling the Ottomanish Riche to take over Suez for the meaning of owning the Frankish-built but Ottomanish-owned Suez Waterway. Beginning in 1870, she would overfall some West- and Southafricanish lands to forgreaten her Riche in Africa -the three Ashantish Crigs, the Nigerish Crigs and the Expedition to the Hinterlands in Westafrica, the Kosanish Crigs and the Boercrigs in Southafrica and the Sangebar Expedition in Eastafrica would be some of the most noteworthy.

The beginning of the twentieth yearhundred thaned to bring down spannings between the Angledanish and Russish Riches, partly as both lands wanted to tygel the foroned and mighty Deoch Riche. The Wedleap between the Danelaw and Deochland would bring a manifoldness of weighty forthstrides in seawise technology, namely the Dreadnaught and other modern slaughtships, the Flydeckship, the Diveboat and torpedoes. Spannings between the two lands -and other grounds throghout Europe- would at last end with the First Great Crig (1915-18), the most gruesome crig in Angledanish gesheede, where 1.1 million men were killed and over 2.5 million wounded, with little sige to show.

During the Interbellum, the Danelaw made friends with her foe in Deochland, while building better ties with other riches, namely Japan and New England. By 1933 fascist regearings had taken grip in Frankriche, China, Hispania, Italy and Russland and many of the old articles of the Fordrawing of Paris had been forgotten by all of its underwriters. Once again spanning grew in Europoish forbindings and following the Russish, Frankish and Italish overfall of Europe, the Twithe Great Crig began (1938-1948). The stride was the most widespread in Angledanish gesheede, with the Riche and her Gemeanwealth fighting in tyges in Europe, Northafrica, Near East, Southamerica and the Far East. Nearly 900,000 soldiers from the Danelaw and put together 1.7 from the Gemeanwealth were killed in this crig. The Foroned Nations' sige in this crig ended with the atomish bombing of many fiendly steads -namely three in Russland- and the grounding of the Organisation of the Foroned Nations.

Danelager Pancers in Indey
As an outcome of the Twithe Great Crig, the Stridecrafts's role in both the Angledanish Riche and the world would forother. While the Danelaw went into the Indish Unoffhanghoodcrig willingly and ready to shed as much blood as it felt would be needed to keep her colonies under her yoke, a serie of setbacks drove them to give up Indey and pull out of their stronghold steads. This would in turn shape what is known as the 'Indey Illdom' in which the openbere stands against drawn out crigs overseas. As such, the Angledanish Riche would slowly but sickerly give unoffhanghood to her colonies in the Decolonisation. Throughout the Coldcrig, the Stridecrafts would lower its girth through wholly putting away the Draft and letting go most of the onhoods that had namely been shaped for the two Great Crigs, making the whole personnel go from 2.5 million soldier at the end of the 2he Great Crig to less than 450,000 when the Crig with Indey ended in 1964, instead putting more worth on technology and her soldiers' skills. This fieldthenst ordening showed its worth when the Danelaw found sige against Egypt in the Suez Crig (1956) and then against Silverstream during the Falklandcrig (1982).

Since the end of the Cold Crig, a growingly international role has been followed for the Stridecrafts, with the onhoods and the whole system reorganised to put a greater worth on expeditionary crig and mightoutfaring. This means that the Danelaw's ferds must make a mickle lot of any Frithbringing undertaking led by the Organisation of Foroned Nations, the Europish Bound and the Angledanish Gemeanwealth. The Danelaw has played a weighty role in such frithbringing plights like the Liberlandish Burghercrig (1992-94), the Tripolitanish Flightforbodebelt (2011) and the First Macarebish Crig (2009-2014). Through her bases in Suez, the Danelaw has repeatedly come to Judea's help against her foes in the Arabish Bound, namely in the Syrish-Judish Crig of 2007. Quoth the Crigministry, 9,571 soldiers from the Stridecrafts have lost their lives in theatres that had a Tygestar since the end of the Crig in Indey.

Befeal and Personnel

Crigministry Building, Lunden
The King and Stateshead, now Eadgar IV, is the Head of the stridecrafts and their Overcommander. Long-standing wones however give de facto befeal, through Kingly Say, to the Statesminister and the Crigministry. The Statesminister, on behalf of and backed by the beleves of his cabinet, makes key sheddings on where and when to send the stridecrafts. The King beleves the highest overhood, and the officers and soldiers of the Stridecrafts all swear truefast to the crown. It has been said that the meaning for this is to forestall unlawful brooking of the Stridecrafts, namely the kernelbombs and other Weapons of Mass Fornaughting.

The Crigministry is an ambight in the regearing and the highest stand of stridely headquarters plought with drawing and workstelling shieldpolitic for the Stridecrafts; it has 56,860 burgher workers as of 1 October 2015, and its ambight is overseen by the Crigminister (lawfully Minister of the State for Crigly Dealings) who has three archly underlings: the Minister of the State for the Stridecrafts, the Minister of State for Outrysting and the Minister for Oldstriders' Dealings. Foranswerliness for the running of the stridecrafts is given to a toll of commissions: the Shieldsrede, the Staffheads' Rede, the Board of Shieldforwalding and the three Thenstbough Boards. The Shieldsrede, made of fortreaders from every one of the thenstboughs as well as the Crigminister himself, bring forth the lawful basis for how to bedrive Crig. The three thenstbough boards (the Board of Admiralty, Board of the Heere and Board of the Loftmight) are stooled by the Crigminister.

Welsh Housecarls Trooping the Colours
The Head of the Generalstaff is the stridely head of the Stridecrafts, an ambight that can be held by those who hold the highest rank in one of the three thenstboughs (namely, a five-star rank, as such an Admiral of the Fleet, a Fieldmarshal, a Marshal of the Kingly Loftmight or a Headman-General of the Marineinfantry). The HGS is the most weighty reder to the Crigminister.

His Majesty's Stridecrafts is a skilled stridecraft with a strength of 360,000 soldiers in active thenst, 32,500 Freewiller Reservists and 17,500 Standing Reservists. This puts the Danelaw a whole of 410,000 thaning soldiers. The soldiers under active thenst make for 87.8% of the whole personnel, while 7.9% of the soldiers are Freewiller reservists and 4.3% are Standing reservists and 'others'. All soldiers who've thaned in the heere hold an answerliness for thaning forholding to the toll of years they've thaned and may be called back for thenst at times of crig under what is known as the Homewear. As such, a soldier who's fought for 15 years has to thane in the Homewear for as many years. As of June 2016, the Homewear made for 200,000 soldiers.

The flow of personnel between the thenstboughs as of 1 October 2020 was as follows:

Quoth the International Institute for Strategish Studies and the Stockholm Institute of Worldfrithforkenning, the Danelaw has the third- or fifthhighest stridebudgets in the world. Forholdingwise, the Danelaw spends more in lutter tolls than Frankriche, Indey, Russland or Japan but less than China, Arabia or New England. In Setember 2011, quoth Professor Malcolm Chalmers of the Kingly Foroned Thenst Institute, 'the stands of spending we plan on out stridecrafts should be enough for the Danelaw to uphold her stand as one of the world's greatest mights. In Europe, we only have on alike, though our edge, forholding to Asianish mights, seems to forwear but will still be overwhelming well into the 2040s'. The Danelaw spends $82.0 billion, or 2% of her yearly GIP, on the fraign of stridecrafts, and has said it foresees to spend up to £258.1 billion in the next ten years for new outrysting and forkenning.

Outlandly Stridecamps

Kingly Gibraltar Regiment
The Kingly Stridecrafts uphold a manifoldness of garrisons and stridecamps overseas, which helps the land undertake undernimmings worldwide. All of the Danelaw's standing stridely instellings are found on Angledanish Overseagebedes (AOG) or former colonies who still hold close diplomatish ties with the Danelaw, or in ords that are of high strategish weight. The most noteworthy of these are found on Gibraltar, the Falkland Ielands, Garcialand and Dufthaven. Other weighty stridecamps can be found on Roebuck, Bermuda, Singapore and Arthurhaven. The first two were of utmost weight during the Falklandcrig, while the other two are meant to keep China in check.

Doha is home to the KLM Clark, a Kingly Loftmight outpost in the Wilhelm Clark Loftstation which thanes as the headquarters for No. 83 Expeditionary Loftgroup and its dealings across the Near East. Likewise, there is a mickle Kingly Fleethaven also in Doha, which thanes for the Stridecrafts' marinely needs. There are five weighty stridely instellings in Angledanish holdings in the Far East, namely Camp Carl Elliot in Dufthaven, Camp Seymour in Eadwardhaven (the two of which thane as both loftstations, fleethavens and heere instellings), KLM Harris in Carlstead and HMFH Nelson in Singapore which are beteeingwise the weightiest loftstation and fleethavens in the Far East, and the Arthurhaven Rocketsilo which holds five kernelrockets and a manifoldness of other, non-kernel rockets that the Danelaw holds near China to keep it in check. The Danelaw has other instellings in a manifoldness of other lands that are meant for less fiendly dealings. The Gurkha Instelling in Nepaul, the Angledanish Heere Forward Base Kenya, the Angledanish Forward Base Suffield in New Albion being some such byspels.

Some Angledanish Overseagebedes also have their own onehoods and regiments; these are as followed: Bermuda's Regiment of Foot, the Kingly Regiment of Falkland, the Kingly Gibraltar Regiment, the King's Own Guns of Gibraltar, the 1st Westindey Regiment of Foot, the Westindey Loftborne Regiment, the Kingly Regiment of Georgeland, the King's Malay Regiment and, The Kingly Dufthaven Regiment and Dufthaven's Regiment of Horse. Though their plight is to be a standing 'homewear', they often get upmarched to a manifoldness of other slaughtfronts. Dufthaven's Regiment of Horse, as a rystinged division, was sent to Lusitanish Timor when that gebede was going through its short burghercrig in 1976 and then in 1999.

Since 1969 the Danelaw has had its own Cunstmoonsystem, Skynet, which was at first meant to help undertakings East of Suez, but has since 1995 been brooked for Stridely dealings all over the world.

Expeditioncrafts

3rd Commando Brigade in Winter outrysting
The Angledanish Stridecrafts holds a noteworthy weight to the formay to outfare expeditioncrig. As such, the stridecrafts are by their gekind expeditionary and they uphold a kernel of of 'high readiness' troops taught and outrysted to upmarch very quckly. These inhold the Seawise Expeditioncrafts in the Kingly Marine, the 3rd Commando Brigade in the Kingly Marineinfantry and the 16th Loftborne Regiment in the Heere. More often than not, these crafts will be sent as part of a mickler ordeal holding all three boughs under the onleading of the Standing Gemeansome Headquarters as the Angledanish (or His Majesty's) Gemeansome Expeditioncrafts. The Expeditioncrafts are meant to work alongside expeditioncrafts of other, allied nations.

The Danelaw has underwrote Fordrawings with both Deochland and Japan that let each of the folholding two regearings to shape a Forbound Gemeansome Expeditioncorps that can be upmarched against the two lands' foes in the region. For byspel the Angledanish-Japanish Expeditioncorps can be upmarched against China, while Arvethegroup Europa is meant to be sent against Russland as a strikeforce to quickly bring down some weighty Russish markles before Europish Shieldcorps get around to overfall Russland in fall of crig. As a gemeansome craft, it holds something from all three armed thenstboghs: a heere made of at least five brigades as well as seawise and loftwise stridegroups with their own headquarters, logistics and other needed things.

Kernelweapons

The Danelaw is one of the ten known kernelstates under the Kernel Treaty and keeps its own unoffhung kernel scareweapons, currently made of three Dreadnaught-kind and four Sigesomef-kind throwrocket diveboats, the Sigemund IV diveboat-thrown rockets and 250 other waterstuff strideheads, known as the Sigemund in gemeansome and politish speaking. The Sigemund is overseen by the Kingly Marine Diveboat Thenst which is given the plight of upholding 'Standing At-Sea Offscare' (SASO) where one of the seven diveboats is always guardinsh Angledanish waters. Quoth the Angledanish Regearing, the Kingly Marine's Rocketboats have not missed even one day of their guard' since Magnhilde, Sigemund's forecomer, was first brought to thenst in April 1969, giving what the Shieldsrede said in 1980 to be an offscare that is 'by all means unforwoundbere to any forbaysome strike'. As of 2015, the Dreadnaught diveboats can keep no more than 40 kernel strideheads while the Sigesome diveboats keep 25. The Danelaw also has other kernelsendoffsystems: Namely the Baldur System, a serie of worldroomstations placed in cunstmoonorbit around earth that can drop kernelbombs on a markle; a manifoldness of rocketsilos inside Albion and in some overseagebedes (namly the Arthurhaven Silo) which throw ballistish and crossrockets. The Danelaw halted having a free-fall system in 1998.

Other Weapons of Mass Fornaughting that the Danelaw has owned inhold both biologish, chemish and straling weaponry (hence the old KBCS weapons), though they were forsaken in 1956 and shended afterwards. The Baldur system can also drop tungsten rods from the worldroom which, while quite wastesome, are not seen as WMF by most lands.

Thenstboughs

Kingly Heere

His Majesty's Heere, also called the Kingly Heere or the Angledanish Heere, is the Angeldanish land fighting bough. Grounded at first in April 1645 with the Witangemoot's Soldiery Law. It is the fourth oldest standing heere in Europe after the Netherlandish Hispanish and Frankish Heeres. Nowadays it has 198,000 soldiers under thenst and 35,275 Freewiller and Standing reservists. Its head is the Head of the Heere Staff, now Fieldmarshal Harold Elfwineson, Heretog of Leinster.

The Heere is highly bewayly, well-outrystinged and technologishly forthstriden craft. Pancers, Ridecraft and machineinfantry make up the backbone of the Heere, backed by artillery, wagoninfantry, engineers, logistictroops and signaltroops. As the micklest of the three boughs by girth, it is up to the Heere to fight in the micklehood of crigs the Danelaw fights for. As such, and because of its smaller girth -taken against some other heeres like Russland and China who field heeres millions strong- it heavily takes on and benits Thundercrig, tactics offhanging the sickering of swift sige in strategishly weighty crigs in hopes of tostoering the micklehood of fiendly onhoods and frightening the foe to a quick offgiving.

The Kingly Heere is split along five fieldcorps and nine unoffhung onehoods. The five fieldcorps are the Corps of Guards, the Kingly Pancercorps, the I Corps, II Corps and III Corps. The unoffhung onhoods of the Heere are the Corps of Kingly Engineers, Kingly Lyvecorps, 1st, 2he and 4th Brigades of Gurkhas, Kingly Loftborne Corps, Corps of Logistics, the Kingly Militarypolice and the Kingly Signaltroops. Furthermore, each corps is split into divisions, brigades and regiments of unalike girth, while the unoffhung onehoods -outside of the three Gurkha brigades- are split amongst the divisions as needed as they offer behooves that fighting onhoods might otherwise lack.

Heere Reserves fall under the Kingly Heere's Standing and Freewiller Reserves. The latter is made of first is made up of former soldiers who otherwise have burgherly work, while the latter is made of freewillers who do not want to see thenst outside of Albion unless truly needed. They put together make 35,275 reservists who can be sent to slaughtfields if needed, while the homefront is shielded by the so-called Homewear. All soldiers who've thaned in the heere hold an answerliness for thaning forholding to the toll of years they've thaned and may be called back for thenst at times of crig, and as such they go through outbilthing many times but do not show in Trooping the Colours. The Homewear will only be upmarched for slaught if the Danelaw herself is being overfallen and the reserves have all been sent to fight.

Spending

The Bound is roughly as old as the earliest iterations of what is now the EU irl. But yes, New England and California essentially did have a wartime alliance that helped the two countries basically build their nukes together, and later formalised into the North American Alliance.

My point is that a not-insignificant amount of Martians, even with everything else going right and all known methods of spaceship, building, and personal shielding used alongside medication and good route planning, would still probably be cancer patients from all the radiation they're exposed to over years and years of living on a thin-atmosphere planet if they have to go on the surface or perhaps even got it on the trip there as ship shielding so far would not be effective enough for such a long trip to be within safe limits.

It's part of the reason they have time limits for ISS astronauts to go up there, solar and space radiation is no joke. I know you're not going for total realism here and perhaps there's some emergent tech I don't know about that'd be in use in this timeline that'd at least mostly mitigate the issue, but still something to keep in mind.)
