***** Texas Saturday Breakfast *****

Free Tacos! Delivered! Are you ready for some serious Saturday Breakfast, still All-Fresh? Bring out the Drones! The NewTexas Happy Taco Stands, in conjunction with the NewTexas Incendiary Corporation, has approximately 1 trillion of the fastest, lightest drones you have ever seen. This fleet is specially designed to deliver tacos to every man, woman, child, whatever, in Texas, all 2,487,405,000,000 of you.

Today's special breakfast will Saturday Smoked Salmon & Egg Breakfast Tacos [COVID-19 Week CXVII Edition]! The Head Chef still has his soccer cleats on for kicking up the humble breakfast taco into the range of haute cuisine. And, once again, it is going to be super simple. This is a perfect Summer Treat Taco since no one is going out in this heat. The NewTexas Abuelas start by scrambling a boatload of Texas Grade A, farm-fresh, Organic Eggs in ginormous black cast-iron skillets. A minute from being done, they throw in ribbons of super-thinly sliced smoked salmon imported just for you today from our friends in Canada. A quick handful of chopped chives finishes it off. Once again, the whole thing comes together very quickly! No cheese on this delicate little gem, it is simply served up in a fresh homemade flour tortilla made by hand just for you. Remember, a whole egg in every taco!®

Today's Special Salsa is - Salsa Roja - the universal Texas salsa! This is so simple, it is virtually Pico that is cooked down. There is nothing to it really, just ripe red Roma tomatoes, white onions, serranos, cilantro, and salt. The taco is hermetically sealed in a Stay-Warm® pouch that is wrapped in the same ol' aluminum foil we are all so familiar with for our breakfast taco. We are trying to keep it real, peeps. For your beverage accompaniment, a packet of Sanka, Tang and a Lipton Tea bag will be included with every delivery as well as salt and pepper and a napkin. Yes, it is different, but it works and you do not even have to leave your residence. Woo! And, watch out for the drones! Start your day off the right way; munch out and go back to sleep. You know you want to!®

Stay Safe Texas. Stay Well.

***** Texas Chat Reminder *****

The Texas Weekly Chat Session will be Saturday (TODAY) at High Noon Texas Time (CDT) ***Saturday***. And, if you can't be there right at Noon, that is Ok, Texas Chat usually runs 3, 4, or 5 hours with some Chats running as high as 7 or 8 hours.

The Texas Chat Site is here: http://texasregion.net/blab70/login.php

Please register with your nation name. This is a great opportunity for nations old and new to Texas to find out what is going on! We chat, debate, talk about the weather, stuff we like, stuff we hate, random stuff, and more. But, it is never stuffy. Usually, it is about meeting your fellow Texans and talking about the latest and most interesting stuff in NationStates at the moment. But then again, sometimes NationStates does not even come up. It is wide-open chatting with peeps from around The World both IRL and NS. It is Texans, EuroTexans, WannabeTexans, ex-Texans, VirtualTexans, and plenty of Friends of Texans. We have it all and all are welcome.

We have added a new feature to Texas Chat, Texas Movie Chat! Chat with Texans while watching a movie. Fun stuff! So far we have watched Halloween, Shootout at the OK Corral, and Red, and recently a couple of new Star Trek series episodes. Want to watch something together?

Texas Chat, 899 weeks and running! For the math-challenged, that is over 17¾ years! Check it out! Good stuff!

Send some our way, we got those AA guns "recalibrated" and some of the Airmen in rehab! They were starting to talk to PURPLE SQUIRRELS! Can't be wasted on the job, gotta keep that stuff at home or the barracks, geeeeEEEeezus!

...We do drugtest our WMD Officers, intel, techs and specialists weekly. Being wasted or wacked in that job ever is a total NOGO. We all remember that fool that started the Iraq War and knocked down those buildings all "coked up" after all. "WMDs" my ass...that Texas country learned it's lesson there... What'd that stupid bass terd say? "Fool me once, shame on you -- Fool me twice, I'm a complete idiot"... Yep, sounds about right.

This coming next Sunday we're finally going to try our nationwide "Hand Grenade Brunch" I was talking about. All TEXICANS international border region citizen ranchers will each receive a crate of M82 hand grenades to upgrade their security apparatus'. Any ranch over 5000 acres will receive 10 National Guardsmen to be placed at our discretion with a compliment of 5 M2 Browning "Ma Deuce" .50 cal belt fed heavy machine guns as well. To guard against "cartel encroachment" or foreign interlopers who may leave innocent migrant civilians abandoned, threatening their lives or the lives of TEXICANS.
Anyone interested in participating should reserve a weapons group with their verified deed and passport by calling their local rep at 855-PAK-HEAT.

And we're glad to have you here, Francs.
You from France?

Little family history (real stuff, not my "Uncle Ted" persona).
My family has been traced backed to Orleans France in the year 900... My first traceable grandfather, genetically, was Hugh Capet, the Father of King Robert the II of France. When I learned that almost a decade ago it really made me proud. Not because he was "royalty" that spread all over Europe but because he followed his heart and was known as "the pious", helping the poor and downtrodden , oh quite the opposite he was from these "churched up sepulchres". I bet he p*ssed those fake church types who didn't know true religion was ministering to orphans, widows and prisoners off something good. Nothing against real church... He was also more of a rebel, adulterer maybe? I can identify with all that and my immediate and extended family almost all the same. It's trippy how life works out... Because he was a REAL man who followed his heart. I have great respect for him. He was excommunicated by the church because of his choice to leave an arranged marriage with an (ugly) wife he couldn't stand and he didn't love and marry a servant woman he'd loved before... He followed his heart. In light of that our family still ruled in their aristocracy until the 1300s when they were properly deposed. No shame in that, I felt. Incredible my half loved and lived in luxury over 100 longer than our country existed. Hard to imagine. Most of us are incredible people, also. Life is dinging l something else and I miss some great French food after living close to Montreal many years ago as a good ole Texas boy who loves Mexican food and Tex-Mex.

Vincent's Sunday Surprise Beverage Bonanza

Howdy Dudes and Dudettes of Texas!

Today's Sunday Surprise Beverage is Make - Your - Own - Beverage Day! I've got lots of Large Boxes full of drink making ingredients stacked up right here and I'm going to beam them directly into the home of every Texan in Texas. Everyone will receive a Large Box and it'll materialize on the table closest to you. With all the drink ingredients in your box you can make Sunrise Mocktails, Virgin Piña Coladas and Very Berry Mocktails. There's enough ingredients to make 3 glasses of each drink. You can keep the Instructional Guide CD as my gift to you:

Make Your Own Beverage Drink Making Guide:

Sunrise Mocktail

Virgin Piña Colada

Very Berry Mocktail

When blending drinks in your blender always add your ice at the end so it doesn't jam up the blender. Also if you've got alcohol in your house and you desire an alcoholic drink just mix your own booze into the beverages.

And today I've included a large container full of a dozen Tortilla Turkey Wraps in everyone‘s box. Each Tortilla Turkey Wrap has two slices of turkey, two slices of cheese, a lettuce leaf coated in ranch dressing and thinly sliced tomato slices all rolled up tightly in the tortilla wrap. A delicious snack for yáll.

I hope y'all enjoy today's Sunday Surprise Snack and Beverages Texans. Yeehaw! :)

Friends, Fans, Colleagues, World
I regret to inform you that a great light in the firmament no longer shines for us as it has for so many years.
Last night, my mother, Nichelle Nichols, succumbed to natural causes and passed away. Her light however, like the ancient galaxies now being seen for the first time, will remain for us and future generations to enjoy, learn from, and draw inspiration.
Hers was a life well lived and as such a model for us all.
I, and the rest of our family, would appreciate your patience and forbearance as we grieve her loss until we can recover sufficiently to speak further. Her services will be for family members and the closest of her friends and we request that her and our privacy be respected.
Live Long and Prosper,
Kyle Johnson

That breaks my heart.

It is sad, but at the same time by most accounts, she wasn't in the best health so she's no longer suffering. Her passing now leaves just the 3 guys from the core TOS Cast. Walter Koenig, George Takei, and William Shatner.

Trek Culture's tribute to Nichelle Nichols. If you get a chance to watch the documentary, Woman in Motion, do so. It goes into great detail about her life, mainly her work for NASA

It's interesting seeing the difference between myself and my coworkers. They were born and raised in the same county while I've lived in multiple places. Most notably CA, where the city population is close to the population of the county I currently reside in. Many don't even like driving into/through Harrisburg, but I have no problem doing so.

That explains a great deal.

I take my certification exam tomorrow afternoon for Pharmacy Tech, it's my ticket out of retail. Two things that frustrate me about the exam process. There are 10 random unscored questions scattered throughout the exam, just cut the number of questions by 10 and call it a day. Also, more than one study guide cover concepts that they tell us are not in our scope of practice as technicians. It might be good info to know, but if it's outside our scope of practice we shouldn't be tested on it.

I can understand the Biden administration wanting to spike the ball in the endzone after killing terrorist al-Zawahri. If any administration could use a win, it's this one.

But even in that win, someone broke one of the commandments from the Department of Dirty Tricks: Thou shalt not reveal the secrets of your success nor the details of your failures lest thy enemies learn from them leading to mighty bouts of vexation during future operations.

Is there anything this clown and his crew cannot screw up?

Hmm, don't get it, Tessa. G'MaTex lived in the same house from birth to death. Birth happened to be in the back bedroom.
