President Hrefsan Zilisev, who made her fortune off of the corruption as the de facto dictator of the country. Following recent democratic reforms initially intended to give a sense of legitimacy but picked up and spiraled out of control by a group of zealous senators, she is still the president, but faces really impossible odds for re-election as the people still have strong memories of pre-Hrefsan democracy. Now she hopes to wait it out and sneak out of power, and keep her personal fortune

Sunlio mulie is as of now the richest man in Guarntura, his wealth also made off of corruption. Despite this, the pevious richest man of guarntura was Miltiary leader Manius sun, who seized the country in a violent military coup that ravaged the capital for many days. He was incredibly corrupt and single handed-ly contributed to the downfall of a railway protect in the province of angtlund due to him stashing all of the money for himself, He was recently deposed, with his riches seized and given to the new 'democratic' leade sunlio mulie, a distant relative of his, Who now runs the country as a 'democraticly' elected leader, His rise to power is heavily disputed.

EXTRA, EXTRA! From the Tiplomecjan Truth: Democratic reforms in Tiplomecja! A new era of Democracy! Hyliese Boucher new Prime Minister! Not from the land, cause that would be bland!

Though Hrefsan Zilisev and her Free Market Party came out of the Parliamentary coup on a position of strength, it has only eroded since without the legitimacy of a popular election. Her complete flip flop on her promise of greater economic freedom, instead opting for AI socialism, has rubbed business leaders and owners the wrong way. The Parliament was expanded to include 300 senators, in the hopes of packing it with loyalists. However, without enough oversight on local elections, many regions still had strong democratic traditions and so elected strongly democratic senators into office. Immediately they cried out for the restoration of pre-Hrefsan democracy, to an end of Hrefsan Zilisev's "endless" presidency, and to her horror the democratic senators even began converting her loyalists, chafing under Hrefsan's monopoly on political power and ripe for defection, into opponents. With fewer loyalists than expected, Hrefsan had to concede and restore the parliament to its full 600 members. More local elections began, putting even more democratic senators into power.

Now well over 500 out of 600 senators were united against Hrefsan Zilisev. Many were part of small parties or independent, but for now they stood with the largest opposition party, the Tiplomecjan Democracy and Freedom Party (TDFP) with 279 seats led by energetic 41-year-old senator Hyliese Boucher, and combined they had more than enough for the 66% majority needed to call for an immediate election.

The Tiplomecjan election of 2022 was a spectacle. Raving senators shouted across the Parliament building with unprecedented force, some shouting that the day of democracy had returned. Others yet tried to convince them that democracy was a mistake, and that everyone would pay the price. But this was the minority. They would soon be silenced by the billions of ballots that fell in the emergency election.

An estimated 5.431 billion Tiplomecjans cast their votes on May 21st, 2022.

600 Parliamentary seats were distributed among the parties.

61% of the votes (3.313 billion) and 366 seats went to Hyliese Boucher's winning coalition:
-46.67% of the votes (2.534 billion) and 280 seats went to Hyliese Boucher's Tiplomecjan Democracy and Freedom Party (TDFP)
-14.33% of the votes (778.443 million) and 86 seats went to Felly Goure's Farmers Political Union (FPU)

12.17% of the votes (660.772 million) and 73 seats went to Capellska Nulumy's Proletariat International People's Party of Tiplomecja (PIPPT)

10.33% of the votes (561.203 million) and 62 seats went to Vacker Geart's Victorious Greens (VG)

9.50% of the votes (515.945 million) and 57 seats went to Basev Parhyf's The Founders (TF)

0.167% of the votes (9.051 million) and 1 seat went to Joulef Akhnarat (formerly Hrefsan Zilisev)'s Free Market Party (FMP)

7.00% of the votes (380.170 million) and 42 seats went to various small independent parties

To almost nobody's surprise, Hyliese Boucher's social-democratic Tiplomecjan Democracy and Freedom Party (TDFP) seized a massive victory with coalition support from Felly Goure's reformed agrarian Farmers Political Union (FPU). Notable parties include Capellska Nulumy's socialist Proletariat International People's Party of Tiplomecja (PIPPT), Vacker Geart's green Victorious Greens (VG), and The Founders (TF), party of the venerable statesman Basev Parhyf who was Tiplomecja's founding father, who proved that it was not yet out of the fight as Parhyf still took a considerable amount of seats, rebranding The Founders as a conservative party. As for Hrefsan Zilisev's ruling party, the Free Market Party (FMP), it suffered a considerable blow to its prestige as "the party that almost ended Tiplomecjan democracy" and it only managed to gain 1 seat. Hrefsan Zilisev, apparently having had enough of politics, decided not to take the only seat and retired, leaving it to Joulef Akhnarat, a faithful secretary. Hyliese Boucher will take the office of Prime Minister later tonight, having been unoccupied since Rotarieu Zilisev's death, as Hrefsan Zilisev created an entirely new office of "President of Tiplomecja" which is unlikely to be in use for quite some time now...

As this was an emergency election, the next election will still take place on October 26th, 2022. Today we celebrate the country's democratic tradition, reclaimed from the jaws of tyranny by the hands of the people! Not from the land, cause that would be bland!

My nation just became excellent in political freedom but remains average in civil rights. Realistically, what does a country like that look like? Is China an example? If not, would anyone mind providing a better example?

I think it'd be the country where you can criticize your government a lot, vote them out, but everytime a new government is voted in they just dont do anything about civil rights stuff maybe?

edit: or it could be a country where in theory you have a great political freedom but unofficial social pressure prohibits you from doing things

His majesty the King is the wealthiest citizen of the nation. No working royal under the King "owns" there own money. If you are a working royal, your wealth isn't actually *yours*.

Greetings. In a recent vote Forest decided by a margin of 25-7 to close its embassy with Osiris. As a pacifist region it is difficult for us to maintain a formal link with the resurgent raider community, especially following the occupation of our longstanding ally A Liberal Haven and the destruction of The Mystical Council. I hope you can respect our reasoning and that this won't cause too much ill feeling.

Best wishes,
