Damn, that's old
Jim Bean is good, i recomend adding a lemon or cherry (cherry coke or another coke variant can be great too). Here in Kubach we drink a lot and daily.

I think the term for that is gravedigging!
Actually, once the people who can object to the gravedigging die, then it's archaeology.

Goodbye Lazarus...
It’s been fun.
Why does every decision I take make the weather worse and worse? I know my environment could be better because I'm trying my best to get employment up but the weather just refuses to get better. I'm Egypt! I'm meant to be sunny all the time!
Technically anyone can object to grave digging. I mean I never personally knew any of my ancestors that died 100 years ago, but that dosent mean I wont object to somebody digging up there body. I can also object to my 1000 year old ancestors being dug up if I want to, and theres plenty of organizations out there that do object to digging up ancient graves. Tho there is alot more to be learned from a 1000 year old grave than a 100 year old one, so it's less objectionable.
Now it makes sense...
Fo real
There is an annoying inverse relationship for instance between culture and weather. One decrease the other, it is a fierce way of enforcing the dichotomy indoor = introverted = culture and outdoor = extroverted = good weather.
Generally the weather stat will be rise with pro environment and not too cultured issues options taken.
(As for how at present we have improved here it is a enigma for the ages, our weather was terrible until about four years ago when it began to improve. At present I am taken deliberate measure to improve it unless it interferes with the primary goals and so far it is a success).
There are a lot of stats that have weird interactions. One of them was the "Sector: Agriculture" stat that was taking far too much of its weight from Weather, until it was fixed about a year ago, which caused the Agriculture stat to noticeably shoot up for me: nation=the_new_california_republic/detail=trend?censusid=17

It's based on the Ptolemaic era. The ruling pharaoh is the son of Cleopatra and Caesar.
I read about the relationship between culture and weather on a forum. So dumb. So your country cant have good weather and be cultured? You can be cultured and be an outdoor people. You can do cultured things outdoors! Ugh, stupid NS.
Top 2% in Culture. Top 100% for Weather with an astonishing -792 meters of sunlight. But that's for ... other reasons.
I do not believe NS has a definitive correlation between the two, it just messes with stats sometimes. Like when you agree to decrease regulation on a market, but it decreases Economic Freedom.
We're in the top 9% for culture but 87% for weather. Hopefully some pro-environmental policies will solve that. I've been trying to get higher employment. I massively cut down the generous welfare spending and have been taking anti-environment, pro-business decisions but there's been no tangible benefit to employment. So I don't see the point in making the country uglier when it's not even helping to lower unemployment.
I'm wavering on whether or not to bring back slavery. It would fit with the age we're set in but not having it would make the Pharaoh more benevolent.
It has been our experience that the corporate model, in spite of all its claims of creating jobs, does nothing to actually fill those jobs. We went with a Socialist model. We have jobs, we have all our needs met to a standard the United Federation would call "4-star", and we have about $10,000 per person per year in disposable income to spend on ourselves. We did it with a clean environment, too. We don't have obscenely wealthy people, but we also have no homeless. We even have money leftover at the end of the year to help other nations. The corporate model precludes most of that.
Adopting socialism to fix my unemployment is tempting but I can't. My government system and society is totally opposed to the socialist model.
I envy you for your universal health care policy. I used to have it in my primary nation but got rid of it in the hopes of reducing my high taxes (it didn't work.) I've been desperate to get it back ever since.
Something that we hear oft debated is the morality of a high tax rate. It has been our ideology that the citizenry will pay for the cost of healthcare either way. We might as well pay it for them and keep the medical system accountable to providing a standard of health for the people rather than a standard of profit at the cost of the people's lives which frequently happens in corporate models. We are proud to pay our taxes and be a nation that puts our money where our conscientious and compassionate mouths are. Second to protesting and third to voting, paying one's taxes is the most patriotic thing an Arclandian can do. We enjoy the shared prosperity we do because we take care of each other.
Leonism and Divine egypt
I have read that some considered the ancient Egyptian economy to be a command economy. I think I'll have the Pharaoh socialise the economy and run it for the benefit of his people.
