- ONLY THE DEAD SEE THE END OF WAR
Greece was a lawless place, gangs ruling in place of any proper government, with ancient cities turned to casualties of degeneracy. This was to end today. Along the southern Albanian border amassed the forces of the Adriatic Army, and hovering above was the ASV Republika, its silhouette casting imposingly over the ground. They didn’t move, not yet. A final vote was being held in Sarajevo, Congress deciding if they should or shouldn’t approve such an affair, especially with the current state of affairs in Europe. With a narrow vote, the word came through, and the men began to march.
Loud booming crashes were the source of much of the noise, coming from bombs falling from the heavens or artillery crashing unto the unruly gangs. It was beautiful. A few men on the Republic’s side began to take fire, but fewer still fell from it. Within mere hours Zagoria was in Adriatic hands, receiving a civilized government for the first time in years. Though war is often a tool of pure destruction and greed, this was a mission to rebuild Greece, and to welcome it to the Republic, regardless of if its chaotic warlords and gang leaders wanted it.
ASV Republika had taken off south to land a strike force in Athens. If they could take the ancient city, and provide aid and governance, the legitimacy of the operation would be secured. This of course would first require the removal of the Yioí tou Ári, perhaps the best equipped and most infamous of Greece's gangs. This was of little concern to the strike force though, equipped with Staratelj M78’s and given approval to call in support from the AV Osvajač if need be. If worse came to worse, then even the weapons of the great Republika could be called upon, but the men doubted they’d require her bluntly overkill weapons. As the first man hit the ground, machine gun fire came heavy from surrounding buildings, and the M78’s were taking their sweet time drifting towards the ground.
Athens' ancient buildings provided good cover for the men as they scrambled to duck from the heavy fire, and as the first M78’s hit the ground the tide began to turn. It was the strike team’s turn to dish out the damage, opening up with their ALC-100’s and watching as bodies begin to fall. It’s a bloody affair, there’s no denying that, but ultimately it must be done. Loud thuds can be heard as the M78’s use their main guns to clear away makeshift walls and fortifications, turning the threat from a pack of demons to a group of cockroaches.
Within two weeks of the start of the invasion, Greece was under massive restructuring and rebuilding efforts, supplies from the old nations of the Republic flooding into Greece’s cities and towns, pieces of bread and bottles of liquor acting as welcoming gifts to the coastal nation. Greece wasn’t some occupied nation, Greece was one with the Republic, and people made sure to let them know with their gifts of welcoming.

Given the situation in Iberia and its unprovoked territorial conquest and violation of French sovereignty, MI6 had been on a heightened state of alert, watching Europe for any signs of further turmoil so as to put an end to it as soon as possible. When intelligence informed the Foreign Office that the Adriatic Republic had sent forces to enter the remains of Greece, the immediate response was to monitor their actions. Liaisons between the British and Adriatic governments had confirmed to the Prime Minister that their intentions were to put an end to the lawlessness and disorder that plagued the once proud nation of Greece. While it was in stark contrast to the actions taken by the Iberians, the Prime Minister made a personal call to the Adriatic President to inform him that so long as the mission remains to bring order to a fallen nation, there will be no interference from the United Kingdom and that additional reserves of the necessary equipment required to maintain peace as well as food and shelter will be redirected at the request of the Adriatic President.

FNU
Latinia has denounced the Adriatic Coast for its military movements into Greece. To go with this the Neapolitan provinces and Sicily have been put on an increased alert status. As the first troops entered the country from the North Scarab-class starships entered orbit above areas such as Athens and areas of the Peloponnese peninsula where forces would begin to unload. A divison preparing in Sicily was also dropped on the peninsula at Kalamata. Naval ships have also begun landing troops on the numerous Greek Islands including Crete.
A task force of 3 destroyers, 2 cruisers, 6 frigates and several submarines have begun moving into the Adriatic Sea and up the coast while air forces in Teramo have begun preparing for air operations.
In tandem with this quick move CESID has entered communications with House Glucksberg in becoming masters of Greece once more and save them from Slav expansion. So far the negotiations have gone well, mostly due to the Slavic interference.
The Adriatic Coast has been warned: continued involvement or attacking of Imperial Forces in Greece will be met by increased force. Leave now.

- BUCKINGHAM PALACE, LONDON
In the Palaces command centre retained from the Gem War, the King stood afront a large steel desk with multiple holographic interfaces, flanked by the Prime Minister, the Secretary of State for Defence, as well as the Chief of the Naval Staff. Admiral Vincent was on screen from his flagship, HMS Thunderer, one of the Royal Navy's Battleships, and the Commander of Elizabeth Station was also present on call - the primary British orbital station. They had just issued the Admiral with orders to intercept the Iberian naval forces mustering near Greece with a fleet outgunning anything the Iberians could send.
Admiral Vincent stood at the command of HMS Thunderer a King George VII-class Battleship, itself providing cover for HMS Audacious, an Implacable-class Aircraft Carrier. A flotilla of 5 County-class Destroyers, 1 Minotaur-class Air Defence Cruiser and 3 LAAMP Frigates remained at the ready. Multiple nuclear submarines already patrolled the Mediterranean, not to mention the ones already with the fleet.
The two present members that consisted the British cabinet sent a direct message to the self-proclaimed Empire of the Latins, to halt their operations and return to their base ports, immediately. Furthermore, any use whatsoever of orbital warships would be met with their instantaneous destruction as a threat to peace and stability. The message ended with an invitation to speak with the Cabinet via holocom.

Scandinavian Election
The Election Season of Scandinavia has begun. Division in the Federation is at an all time high with recent events such as the Iberian-French war and application to the League of Free Nations. The Scandinavian Far Right Populist party, the Scandinavian Democrats have pledged to try to develop better relations with the Iberians and pledge to grow the nation by both military power and landmass. The candidate for Prime Minister, Bjorn Gulbrandsen stated that his plans were to “speak with Emperor Radigis directly and develop a strong alliance and politically apologize his predecessors decisions in attack his empire”. Despite the Americans stating not to invade a collapsing nation, he has expressed his desire to annex Estonia. It is believed if he wins, the Scandinavian Union will be rejected from the LOFN. On the other hand, the Social Democracy Party is running Alma Eriksen for re-election despite low approval ratings. She stated “Our great federation has never been more divided, but if we let the Democrats win, say goodbye to the federation you know today. “ And finally, the Liberal Union Party, a new party established in the 2070’s is running John William, an immigrants son from England who won a seat in Congress in 2080. He is relatively popular among Liberals and Centrists, but most voters are worried that voting for him will be wasteful, he said “Despite having known a different nation, Scandinavia would be better with me as it’s leader. It’s time for change and you won’t see it from Eriksen.”

The election falls on September 25 and the new Prime Minister will be sworn in the following weeks.

Good Evening to all of you!
As the election closes, it appears that I (The democratic nation of unovia) and Saint indopeland have won this election by a vote of 5-4. I wish to make a few thanks. First, is 
The Unified American Federation. You did great as head of the Electoral Commission. Great job!

Xotrayjan for his hard fought campaign and to FNU for his short lived campaign. You both gave me a fantastic run for my bid.

I can't believe it was done. My campaign and my voters, my supporters, have achieved what was long viewed as impossible, despite the lateness of the Campaign. We have achieved a 2nd Consecutive Term, a feat not achieved since 2018, nearly 4 Years ago.

I can't believe how close this election was. I know there are many of you who may be displeased with this outcome, and I completely understand. All I ask you to do is to work with this team of Saint and Myself. I am so glad to have Saint as my Vice President. He is a great person.

After the celebration comes the hard work. In the next few days, we will be establishing a Cabinet and filling in the holes for what we need in this Government, working on applications and the like. I will be working with 
Unified Empiricus to keep this Government responsible and responsive to the people. Hope he enjoys having his ear to the ground and his finger in the air to gauge the temperature of the Region.
In the next day or so, we will be announcing our goals for the coming term, which should end by October. I have to meet with Saint ASAP to establish what he wants as well.

- THE SITUATION
In the Imperial Palace of Madrid, around a round table was sat several Marshals and other military leaders. They only waited for two more people, their emperor and the Marshal Duke Fernando de Solaris.
However only one of them arrived. Fernando entered with several guards following behind. Fernando walked with his back straight, wearing a white uniform, peaked cap and an ornate baton. Though his role as first among equals to the Marshals was stand-out enough, it was his skin colour that truly stood him out. He was dark, descended from African immigrants.
"Gentlemen", he greeted the others as he took a seat.
"Where is the Emperor?", Marshal Francisco questioned while the others grumbled.
"He's currently predisposed with a matter of great importance. In his stead he has put me... in charge.", Fernando then looked around the table with a stern look.
"I take there will be no objection?", he went on to ask.
The Marshals looked to each other, all going silent and looking at Fernando, waiting.
A holographic screen formed in front of each Marshal showing the current situation in the Mediterranean.
"Our task force in the Adriatic is yet to be intercepted but the British have sent their own force to confront our surface fleet in the occupation of the Greek Islands. With forces in Crete, Milos, Naxos and so on we've reached a number of our goals off the mainland. Athens and parts of the Peloponnese peninsula are under limited occupation. Even with this in mind it's not in our interests to start a war with the British. The Stellar Fleet will hold fire unless fired upon but use as a ferry for ground and air forces is still completely on the table."
"The Imperial Guard has already boarded a Scarab and with an escort of two Aquila's is approaching... 'The City' to commence Operation Holy Thunder. We'll see results soon"
"The fleets are approaching Ethiopia from both the Suez and the Indian Ocean. Like Holy Thunder we'll be awaiting results but due to support from the House of Solomon and leadership from Prince Cyrila, Id say our victory is assured."
OPERATION HOLY THUNDER
Over Istanbul, the great city controlled by the 'Young Turk National Liberation Forces' the three Stellar ships sent from Lisbon appeared descending from the sky though still high enough to avoid ground based flak and other AA.
As a first step ten VZ71 Vespertilios took off from an Ange-class equipped with cruise missiles, targeting the AA effectively. These strikes were ushered in the dropping of infantry via insertion pods, jetpack based infantry and regular shuttles. Quickly the areas around the Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace were seized with little effort against the Militia. At the end of the morning Most hostile forces were pushed out of European-Constantinople with most combat groups being replaced by two MP Regiments from aboard the ships while two Regiments move up through the European portions of old Turkey while a single regiment including mechs begin to proceed across the straits to seize the rest of the city. While the combat went on supplies were brought down for civilians along with army engineers to restore basic functions to the city.
Early in the Liberation a statement was made by the Foreign Ministry.
"The Special Military Operation in Constantinople is a necessary measure to protect the lives of Christians and other civilians in the city against a group of warlords who fancy themselves after those that murdered countless Armenian Christians. Any other part of 'Turkey' or what's left of it is of no concern to the Emperor and his government.
Operation Davids Wrath, Ethiopia
On the sandy shores near Mogadishu a military camp stood with several thousand soldiers with artillery shelling Degmada.. however these weren't Latins, no but the forces of General Ermias of the Solomonic Army. However in the afternoon of that day several ships were seen offshore, a shuttle landing and out of it stepping General Ávila, Commodore Freire and Prince Cyrila.
General Ermias, a large man with a big curly beard approached the shuttle and Cyrila with a hearty laugh, a hand extended.
Cyrila however like many of his family members was light-skinned with black hair, though due to the nature of his visit to Ethiopia and Somalia wears white and gold armour with a jetpack bearing folded wings hidden by a cape on his back.
With no smile he shook the hand of Ermias.
"General Ermias, we finally meet. How is his Majesty?", he went on to ask..
"Ah! He is doing well the last time I checked. However the situation here is.. not ideal. We are stretched thin, fighting in Somalia and the West has only made things worse, so we welcome you with open arms."
Cyrila then walked forward as smaller transport boats begin to approach the beaches, hundreds of them.
"Then let us get to work... Mogadishu will fall by the end of the week."

conclusion
With the British meddling in the matters of Greece the Imperial government has denounced not only the self proclaimed 'Heirs of Rome' as hypocrites due to their 'allowance' in the Adriatic Coasts operations in the country, also denouncing their attempt at military involvement as an even bigger threat to peace in an area that doesn't concern them. Furthermore the continued bias against the Latins has made it clear the British intend not to even try to stabilize relations with the Latins but continue to try and destabilize them, while supporting the clear expansion of the Adriatic Coast.
The Starships of the Imperial Fleet do not usually involve themselves in ground operations, only acting as carriers for troops and aircraft similar to American hover-carriers. So the arbitrary threat of the British do not concern them. The attempted blockade in Greece against the surface fleet was of concern, mostly for supply lines to Constantinople to provide more aid which was limited due to space aboard the starships.
To counteract this transport starships have seen more involvement in supply runs.
Shuttles and other aircraft have also been dispatched from Sicily to continue the dropping of troops to Greek Islands, including Samothraki and others.

PORTA OLYMPIAE — The landing party would find that while the structure bore some resemblance to a halo in general shape, it was definitely not one. There was no land mass, instead massive canyons carved into the metallic surface, with what looked like some sort of calipers gripping three massive rings embedded into the structure. While the scanners couldn't penetrate the surface of the object, there was no effective jamming at all, in fact a complete lack of signals from the structure, as if it were completely dead.
After some exploring and wandering, the landing party would find what looked to be some sort of vent or hole in the side of the structure. There wasn't a door, instead just a shaft running into the guts of the structure. If they were to get answers, they may need to delve deeper into the structure.

ARKADIEN — The Imperial Guardsmen, or guardswomen rather, were dressed in something akin to Praetorian armor, matte black armor chest piece and forearm guards with similarly colored spartan-esque helmets, with purple feathers to complement the purple robes that flowed around the armor, essentially covering every inch of the guards' skin. Each was armed with an MP80 Submachine gun.
Additionally, there was a Greater Leithanian Ground Forces officer in his dress blacks and cover, adorned with many ribbons and medals. He saluted the President and the First Family. "Welcome to Arkadien your Excellency, Her Holy Imperial Majesty has an Ornithopter waiting if you wish for a speedy transport to the palace, or this limousine if you wish to not be cooped up in another aircraft.
Standing at the Limousine were two well dress Imperial aides, dress in vibrant red dresses. As the situation unfolded, the busyness of Tempelhof Airbase was apparent with the sound of a Luftbus Lb-90 Super-Heavy Strategic Transport taking off down the other runway, its engine pods roaring loudly as the methylhexagen airbreathing engines propelled it down the runway.

They stood in the Castlellan's office the message had arrived a few days ago. The team that was to go was assembled alongside their protection detail. It was generally the mission of the team to get a feel for the political landscape that was the neighbors around the Dominion. Whatever real negotiation that was to happen could be secondary as to pinning who wasn't all to friendly with what parties.

Tachikoma is a four legged "tank" that shares some physical resemblance to earth spiders namely the jumping spider. The "tank" is controlled by a AI that when interacting with non-combatants has the mental capacity of a ten year old child. It is armed with two machine guns mounted in the front arms and a recoiless launcher housed under the head of the tank all this can be switched out for a minigun. It can also transport one person in it rear located crew compartment. It is also able to jump thanks to it's four legs and scale buildings due to a grappling hook system.

As the Latins had disregarded all warnings and instead decided to intensify their efforts to interfere in Greece, the Prime Minister called an immediate press conference at the cabinet office in London. She was not alone, however, with her stood the High Commissioners of each of the Commonwealth nations as well as the elderly Archbishop of Canterbury, sending a clear message - not only did the self-proclaimed Empire of the Latins find themselves in opposition to the United Kingdom, but eleven other sovereign states and the Church, all with the same commitment and resolve as Britain had. The media and the press went silent as the Prime Minister proceeded to address the nation and the Empire. She stood stoically and looked straight at the camera wearing her blue suit and glowing pearls.
- "Good Afternoon. It is with great disappointment that I have called this conference to address the British people and the people of this great Empire of which we are family and to the god-fearing peoples of all nations. Looking back just months ago, I know we were all shocked and dismayed by the unprovoked aggression from the Iberian state in its war of conquest against France and Italy, disturbing decades of hard-fought-for peace in Europe. Since then, we have rightly denounced the Iberian Government for its actions. Perhaps it should not come as a surprise to learn that they have once again singlehandedly issued a threat to the peace and security we enjoy. It is with regret that I confirm that the self-proclaimed "Empire of the Latins" has disregarded our protests and has sent its forces into Greece, in defiance of the very clear warnings from His Majesty's Government.
Their message to us was clear, too. They say we are intervening in an area that doesn't concern us. Let me be very clear--it does concern us. Peace concerns us. The Latin Empire does not get to wage a war of conquest and then proceed to act as "peacekeepers". They further accused this Government of not attempting to "stabilise" relations with them, to which I say, how are we to stabilise relations with a rogue state whose only intention is to destabilise an entire continent? Their actions speak louder than their poorly chosen words.
I will say this now--Britain will stand against this breach of the peace with everything it has, and the nations of the Commonwealth and our free Empire have assured us of the same commitment. Where the Latin Empire has no allies, no supporters, the United Kingdom stands with the greatest family of nations ever seen. The Empire has stood against such states before--we will do so again. But this time we will ensure that peace in Europe lasts tenfold.
And with that, the Prime Minister had ended her speech and agreed to take questions from the room filled with reporters. It was clear the Empire of the Latins had no interest in peace and that it's government was simply unhinged, if history was to repeat itself, Britian would ensure it came out on top like before.
The Vice President looked over at them both before nodding and placing down a Holotablet, showing the model of the American Economy in comparison to the Scandinavian one. Soon, it began to show a percentage pie of investment and showed France contributing 10% of it's total subsidization with the American Federation covering the other 90% "The alliance itself is mainly funded by the American economy as part of a cooperative national defense buildup fund. This fund ranges from things such as starships and supercarriers, down to road infrastructure, water distribution, and logistical networks for civilian mail. For America, we've used the Quantum Economic Model to the theoretical endpoint of what most economists thought in the early 2010's about capitalism, and so with the self sufficiency of the space territories, it would be a burden we would be willing to pay in order for Scandinavia to Join the OFN without worry about economic woes."
Dirk soon leaned in and grinned at his scandinavian counterparts humourously. "We're not going to be like how the Chinese were either in Africa in the 2020's and make it a debt trap. We're looking for genuine generational development of your nation for the betterment of not just the alliance but Earth itself." He said as Hubert pulled out a pen from his chest pocket and held it out for the Prime Minister. "The details can always be worked out but...if you feel your people are ready, than we shall both sign with each others pens." The Vice President said as his tired expression seemed to radiate with a bit more life and hope than before.

Prime Minister Eriksen took a look at the pie chart and thought of the benefits, she took the pen from the Vice Presidents hand, “Scandinavia will prove a great ally in the League of Free Nations, and now I know that Scandinavia will not drown in debt, I am prepared to sign.” She put the pen on the paper and wrote her name before giving the pen to Minister Matti in which he signed as well. Marking the entrance of Scandinavia into the LoFN. Prime Minister Eriksen shook VP Delroy’s hand and smiled for the camera, she felt joy as she realized this was a huge moment for Scandinavia. She let her worries of the election slip away as she thought of the possibilities for the federation.

A new approach
Not wanting to start another war in Europe, especially an aquatic one the naval task forces for Greece have begun leaving Greek waters into the international waters though the task force in the Adriatic remains though approaching the waters of Naples.
With this massive naval pullback occurring a delegation from the Adriatic Coast has been invited to the Royal Palace of Naples to discuss the situation and to solve it diplomatically rather than jump the gun so to speak.

- DISSAPOINTMENTS AND DIPLOMACY
“Today, September 17th, 2083, the decision has been made to pull all troops from the former Greek territory, and subsequently to cease any further shipments of supply. This decision is one of good faith, as the Empire of Latins has chosen the level-headed option, and called us to the table of conversation. For this I commend them, as they have not made the same mistake they did in France. While I understand that there may be a great level of displeasure with this decision, it was figured to be the wise move, and the one that was most likely to avoid another European war. We are not barbarians, but brothers, and it is my personal hope that the meeting that is to occur between our delegations and theirs will only further push that into common knowledge.”
As the words of President Vladimirović turned from a quiet yell to silence, a Mercury Class SST lifts off from Dubrovnik, the very delegation mentioned during the address heading off for Naples. It’s a quick and comfortable ride, but the men can’t help but feel a weight in their stomachs. If they’re to trust the Latins though, they know that such fear has to be ignored. Peace at the cost of some minor discomfort was more than acceptable.
Haven’t left one of these in a while, but uh, I know this isn’t great. Consider this the “Adriatic guys arrive” post.

On their arrival they're shown to a meeting room full of Latin military leaders and government officials from the foreign ministry.
"Welcome, please take a seat.", the Marshal, Duke Fernando de Solaris greeted the Adriatic representatives and president.
"Now I'm sure you know why we're today... that is Greece. As we speak your forces are leaving the country... but. It shouldn't have to come to that. When we watched the news we saw your government wished for them to join the Adriatic Republic and that can still happen with a compromise. As a sign of cooperation we can split our zones of influence", Solaris said putting some maps on the table.
