Hello there, theydies and gentlethems!

I’m new on NationStates; got this invitation on telegram. I just want to experiment with my Anarcho Capitalist utopia. Our economic policy is considered far right, but we are culturally left wing like you all. We may disagree on a lot of things, but this is my earnest attempt to form solidarity.

I’m prison/police abolitionist, pro choice (on basically every issue), want to legalize all drugs, taxation is theft, anti state, anti authoritarianism, very anti-fascist, extremely anti gun control (I would happily create a militia where I armed every trans women of color with military tanks), pro sex work, pro LBGTQIA+ rights, free trade, anti-electoral politics, I believe in private property rights, I think market forces should guide the economy rather than the state, against any kind of economic regulation, support all types of free market anarchism (mutualism, free market socialism, agorism, etc.)

Thanks,
Free Market of Ancapistan™

Welcome. We have similar values, don't perfectly align with the confederation, but would rather be here in solidarity than be in righter spaces.

I'm curious, are you an anarcho-capitalist or are you merely playing around with the idea with your nation? As you can see from our region's description, we are anti-capitalist, and many people here don't have high regard for anarcho-capitalism, to put it politely.

If you engage with us in good faith then you're welcome to stay, we extend the same courtesy to other nation's with contrary ideas to our own.

Perhaps Libertarium, a region we have diplomatic ties to, would be a better fit?

Honestly, no. my actual views do not align anarcho capitalist ideology. I am working on this game with a friend who definitely has much more right libertarian views to see if I'm accurately portraying it. It is more experimentation to see how far the most good faith progressive effort to follow a free market capitalist model can go until dissolving into an Ayn Rand-esque dystopian hellscape. (My actual views outside of this roleplay, would lean Anarcho syndicalist or anarcho communist). If it is a lost cause, my backup plan is to go straight into accelerationism, speed up progress until it just turn it into the world's worst corporate state to have some fun lol.

Why are you doing that experiment in this region tho?

Ah, in that case have fun with your roleplay and, from how you described your views in your previous post, I look forward to hearing from you in any discussions. :)

yeah if you want to do experiment tho thats fine

Looks like this WA proposal won't pass :(

Is anyone concerned that our region seems to be losing member nations? It has decreased from 150 to 130 in the last week or so

Given this game's portraying of capitalism as equivalent to a free market...far beyond any accuracy, probably.

I noticed that numerous nations from the region got extinct

Ecosociala wrote:Is anyone concerned that our region seems to be losing member nations? It has decreased from 150 to 130 in the last week or so

i am concerned. A few hours i checked. It was 134. Now its 133. It used to have 18 more nations. Noticing this either means a few things. People are losing interest in this region.
We have not recruited as many members,
Or people are losing interest in this game
Or its just natural to go through dips and highs. (I doubt this one tho)

I haven't been able to run the recruitment program recently and probably won't for the foreseeable future, due to personal circumstances. So as nations CTE, which is normal, they are not replaced by new members. Our population will continue to decrease until someone is able to pick up the slack on recruitment.

I wouldn't be worried though. In the short term, the total population number doesn't matter nearly as much as the number of people actively engaging on the RMB and discord. In the long term, however, it is important to keep new people coming into the region as even active players eventually CTE or move region.

Fachumonn wrote: Why are you doing that experiment in this region tho?

I don't know, just chill. I got a lot of telegrams invites from authoritarians when I started and so this seemed like a nice place
