Oh wow. I never saw that before.

I guess that's a reference to the quote "absolute power corrupts absolutely".

Colombia: Abolish the State! Set-up autonomous assemblies!
https://enoughisenough14.org/2021/05/07/colombia-abolish-the-state-set-up-autonomous-assemblies/

For all this, and much more, is that we, the anarchists, express ourselves in resounding opposition to the simple actions, which is only to make a parade along the 7th avenue of Bogota. Instead, we call for an indefinite General Strike, that leads to move the status quo for the benefit of the people: from its local oligarchs and bourgeois minorities, to the wide, long, broad and diverse peoples that make up the majority of the population in of the population in the Colombian region.
Recovering the municipal autonomies, the collectivization of the territory among those who inhabit it ancestrally or traditionally, and the ancestral or traditional inhabitants (not among those who, by usurpation, dispossession and displacement, obtained it), exercising assembly, communalism and horizontality, all decisions collectively, an open, participatory, diverse and permanent assembly, rejecting any authority, caudillism, gamonalism, patronalism and patriarchy.

Colombia Has Lost Its Fear

A Nationwide Uprising Continues in the Face of State Violence.
After decades of armed conflict and paramilitary violence, Colombia has seen protest movements return in strength over the past year and a half. The forceful demonstrations of the past week exceed even the high points of the nationwide uprising of November and December 2019. In response, the most heavily armed government in Latin America has carried out a brutal crackdown.

A Report and Interview on the Background of the Revolt.
The streets of several Colombian cities have erupted into conflict in the last two days in response to the brutal police murder of 43-year-old Javier Ordóñez, a lawyer and father of two in Bogotá, the nation’s capital. Ordóñez was peaceably drinking in the street in front of his friends’ apartment when police arrived and, without provocation, beat him and tased him 11 times. By the time he arrived at the hospital, after a further beating at the police station, he was already dead.

We do need a tremendous reform of the state

I had no clue. Thanks.

I was met with an issue regarding female workers (biologically female) having payed leave on days they have menstruation. I think it's a pretty interesting idea. I'm not a female myself but I am aware of how painful and frustrating it can be for some people so I agreed with it. What are the thoughts about this from other members here?

Overnight for me, there has become a new security council proposal and new wa proposal. Personally i think i am voting for and against
