Is there any way from stopping your population growing bigger and bigger? All the nations that are on NS for some time have gigantic numbers of inhabitants. Is there any way to remain a small nation (populationwise)?

The proud Colony of Tscharva fears the problems that might occur if the population grows too fast before we have set up a sufficient infrastructure, possibly leading to poverty and/or an unnecessary high rise of taxes. As a small, newborn nation, we would prefer to grow slowly and in peace with nature and peoples needs.

The Ur understands and reciprocates your concerns about a lack of adequate infrastructure, but the Ur tries to take this growth in stride with our policy of conscription. We allow military funding to be diverted to housing, feeding, and educating many in our country under the banner of protecting our borders from the very real danger of aggressive nations abroad. The only US state flag that looks good despite having text on it is California's. Otherwise, those principles can be bent a little bit.

No, the official number just goes up indefinitely, which is a serious shortcoming, in my view, and one of the few things about NS that I just don't like.
A workaround for that is to answer the appropriate issue that makes your national animal population into citizens of the country. I did this, and settled on flying squirrels as my animal. Since Ruinenlust is largely a hemiboreal forest ecosystem, and since flying squirrels have been domesticated as pets, that justifies the population of 8 billion. We might switch to mice at some point, idk.
Also, your flag is extraordinarily beautiful, in my opinion. That is definitely a keeper!!!

Have any of you thought about Forest perhaps joining the One World Climate Alliance? I know it’s for nations, not regions, but we could ask if they can bend the rules. Now obviously we can’t be full members, as nations such as 
Lord Dominator and 
Mowte are environmentally bad on purpose and we can’t force them, but maybe we can join as an observer region? Or else maybe we can establish some sort of in-universe alliance in Forest, like an EU but for us? You wouldn’t have to join unless you wanted to

I guess kind of like a climate agreement or like a political alliance or something, kind of like very easy rp, except it’s directly related to our theme of the environment. I guess I just feel like Forest could have a bit more in-character things, and this would also build community between nations.
