HISTORY
.
Since the founding of the Council of Asia, the Asian Military Reserve Force was the only military unit present within the region. Due to the region's strong defenses and isolation, the military was not needed and had little framework and operations.
However, on October 1st, the last of Danburg's defense fell to the hands of the invaders by the Sekhmet Legion. The invasion sparked public shock and outcry within the Council of Asia and instantly became one of the Council of Asia's most remembered events. Government officials from both regions began to cooperate and exchange information while rallying defense and morale within Danburg. Yet these had little to deterrence to the raiders.
Thus, the Council of Asia officially embarked on its path toward the creation of a military. President Nationalist Yinmen called forth the First Asian Expeditionary Force and started a region-wide conscription. The First Asian Expeditionary Force, together with a loose coalition of defender regions, begin its liberation in Danburg. Wave after wave the alliance charged into Danburg relentlessly. Unfortunately, Danburg still fell to the raiders as the liberation forces waned.
The failure at Danburg etched a scar on the Council of Asia's military history, but at the same time, it taught its citizens a lesson: it needed a capable defense force. Under the First Asian Reformations, as led by the President, the military became an important topic for the development of the Council of Asia.
On October 22nd, the Far East Oriental Federation, one of the Council of Asia's most important allies, was invaded by the Black Hawks. It soon became the talking point of the Council of Asia, with much resemblance to the Danburg Invasion. However, the Council of Asia was determined to not let another Danburg occur. The President immediately launched the Second Asian Expeditionary Force and marched off to the Far East Oriental Federation alongside the defenders of Libcord.
The defenders eventually came out victorious as the Far East Oriental Federation was liberated on the same day and became one of the Asian Expeditionary Force's most proud moments. However, the Council of Asia needed to do much more to improve its military. Thus, the President launched several new policies and changes to the Expeditionary Force, most notably the appointment of the General Council of asia. On January 6th, the Commander-in-Chief appointed Doctor tzin-tzin as the Second Minister of Defense and General of the Expeditionary Force, succeeding Council of asia’s position.
Though the Asian Expeditionary Force still has a long way to go to become a powerful defense force, its lengthy history showed the world that the Council of Asia is capable and willing to achieve its goals and establish peace and stability throughout all corners of the world.

🗳 World Assembly Membership
THE WORLD ASSEMBLY
.
The World Assembly (commonly abbreviated as the WA) is NationStates' official governing body which passes legislation in the General Assembly and Security Council. The World Assembly is an important aspect of NationStates as it allows regions of different sizes and cultures to voice their opinions. The World Assembly is especially important to the Council of Asia for a number of specific reasons. Firstly, it is the main method for the Council of Asia to assist its allies in times of need in the Security Council. Secondly, nations with World Assembly membership are given the privilege to endorse other nations. The nation with the most endorsements will become the World Assembly Delegate, a government position that represents the entirety of our region, and our version of the President.
Thus, all nations within the Council of Asia are highly encouraged to join the World Assembly, as it will allow you to enjoy NationStates and the Council of Asia in its fullest.
HOW TO JOIN
.

Go to the World Assembly and click the "Apply to Join" button. It looks like this, and it should be at the very top of the World Assembly page.
This one is for showCheck your emails for a message from the World Assembly.
Click the link provided by the email, then press the button titled "Confirm: Join the World Assembly".
Congratulations! You're now part of the World Assembly!
As mentioned above, our regional influence increases with more endorsements to the World Assembly Delegate. As such, joining the World Assembly, and endorsing our WA Delegate allows you to become a full citizen of the Council of Asia.
WA members have access to certain perks compared to those who don't, such as being able to vote in the General Assembly and the Security Council, becoming Prime Minister, joining the Military, being a part of our Asian Parliament and more. In addition, only nations with WA memberships are eligible to join the military.
NationStates has a player-led game that the Council participates in, Raiding/Defending. Raiders will raid regions whose World Assembly Delegate has executive abilities and take over regions. Defenders will on the other hand, protect regions from Raiders, or in the case of already raided regions, liberate them from Raider control, and give regional control back to the natives of that region. Since the Council of Asia is a Frontier region, a special kind of region where the WA Delegate is the one in control of the region, the Council of Asia and many of our allies are susceptible to Raider attacks.
We, as part of the Defender side, must protect other regions from being raided, or liberate any currently occupied regions from Raider control. Our military requires really only one thing: Your World Assembly Membership. Having a Discord account helps with communication, but it's not a necessity.
