Wait, this isn't the map I saw in the books. How come?
We initially considered using the original Narnia maps and worldbuilding for our project. However, we ultimately decided against it for several key reasons. First, the maps provided by the Narnia center are heavily zoomed in and focus almost exclusively on a single nation. This not only limits their usefulness for broader worldbuilding but also fails to consider the wider planet, which makes it difficult to work with and visually unappealing for our needs. We require enough space to accommodate multiple nations, cultures, and geographical features to create a cohesive and immersive world. Second, even if we wanted to adapt the original maps, we would have had to rebuild them from scratch—particularly the vector graphics—to modify borders, geography, and other details to align with our vision. Given these challenges, we determined that it would be more efficient and effective to create a new version of Narnia from the ground up, tailored to our specific goals, while using Narnia lore as a foundation rather than a direct copy. This approach gives us the flexibility to craft a detailed and expansive world that fully supports our creative vision and ensures there’s enough space for everyone.
