The Wolf Libertarian Front is a left-libertarian party in the Red Wolf Alliance. It is a minor party focused on protecting citizens' personal freedoms and minimising the regional government and bureaucracy.

History

The party was founded on April 19th 2020 after a split with the Red Wolf Defense Bloc. The founder of the party, Floyssauu, also became the first leader immediately after the split with his former party and lead the WLF into its first election in April 2020 where the WLF ran 1 candidate. The WLF didn't win any seats in the April election and remain extra-parliamentary.

In the July 2020 election, the party didn't field any candidates and remained extra-parliamentary. In the Presidential election the same month the party endorsed Cathartes Aura of the DSRWA for President.

Policies

The Wolf Libertarian Front first and foremost follows the three pillars of Libertarianism:

  • Peace

  • Prosperity

  • Freedom

These three values form the foundation of the WLF, and subsequently all of our policies also follow these values.

Foreign Affairs

The WLF supports a global RWA, and our vision of the region is one with numerous friendship treaties and friendly relations with both regions we've had contact in the past and new regions which we may cross paths with in the future. On this front, the Foreign Affairs Department would under our control seek to rapidly expand the number of embassies the RWA has and seek to sign treaties which correlate with RWA values.

We believe in complete neutrality of the RWA on the global stage, and we will oppose any move to push the RWA onto the raiding-defending scene. We also oppose the idea of creating a military for the RWA unless it becomes very apparent that the RWA is in danger and needs to defend itself. Even under such circumstances, military participation should be completely voluntary.

We believe 'federal' interregional alliances which would be able to dictate laws to the RWA go against our values of freedom. RWA laws should be made in the RWA. Should there be a referendum to join such an alliance, the WLF would campaign against, however we would accept any result of the referendum as we believe in direct democracy and the ability of RWA citizens to create and influence the creation of the future of the RWA.

Government and Regional Affairs

Something consecutive governments have improved in is organisation, however something which practically every government has failed the test on is transparency. To this effect, the WLF wishes to pass a Government Transparency Act which would obligate the Government to inform the public of its weekly business and reintroduce Secretary's Questions to the public discussion chamber as a way to create a link between ordinary people, Senators and the Government.

There needs to come to an even distribution of the work load between Government members, unlike now where the Secretary of Regional Affairs has no defined job. We also believe even distribution could, as a by-product, also lead to a slow down in the expansion of government and bureaucracy. An WLF government would seek to integrate the SoRA into both the immigration and roleplay departments as a support position, and would also integrate culture and events into the SoRA portfolio.

Abolish the Historical Committee, devolve those duties to the Regional Affairs Secretary.

Public services

At present, public services are almost none-existent and completely unregulated out of the fear of expanding bureaucracy. The WLF supports minimal government intervention, however complete anarchy is not the answer. The WLF wishes to see the SoRA also become a Secretary of Work, with powers to regulate public services where laws allow for regulations. The idea is to get the region up and running through giving people jobs, something to do. At present, the closest we have to public sector jobs is the Cartographer. However there is much we can do without expanding the governments and its bureaucracy. From Senate clerks to Immigration workers, all could be regulated through the Secretary of Regional Affairs.

Justice and Constitution

The WLF believes the biggest problem with justices is putting inexperienced, and sometimes barely active, people on the Court. During last term we've seen that the Court has become more of a legal interpreter than a criminal prosecutor. Partly because the moderators have taken most of the criminal prosecution duty. Recognising this, the WLF proposes a single-member Supreme Court with supportive administrative staff. In this system there would be a Chief Justice confirmed by the Senate for a term of 120 days. The Chief Justice then has the power to appoint up to 3 advisors for criminal and constitutional cases each. These advisors are not a part of the Court, but are supportive staff which have knowledge and experience in the field they are appointed in and will use their expertise to advise the Chief Justice. Since these advisors are not a part of the Court, they would be able to serve in public offices and thus we would also bypass the problem of justices not being able to be active in regional politics.

We would also reform the Criminal Codex into a criminal code which is clear and just. We would add a definition to each criminal offense on the list as well as differentiate between felonies, misdemeanors and actual high crimes. A Criminal Codex under the WLF would also include enough flexibility for it to be clear that Moderators have the right to utilise a ban to enforce the Code of Conduct.

We will add sexuality and gender identity as protected characteristics into the Constitution and will reform standing law, such as the Criminal Codex and Code of Conduct, accordingly.

Roleplay

Roleplay is devolved, and we will not seek to change that through the Senate or through the Government.
