The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless population of 3.048 billion Weavesians are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The relatively small, corrupt, well-organized government is effectively ruled by the Department of Industry, with Healthcare also on the agenda, while Environment and Welfare receive no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Hold. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 9.2%.

The frighteningly efficient Weavesian economy, worth 543 trillion weaves a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with significant contributions from Basket Weaving, Uranium Mining, and Furniture Restoration.
