The Republic of Ttu is a very large, socially progressive nation, renowned for its state-planned economy and devotion to social welfare. The democratic population of 381 million Ttuans love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The large, socially-minded, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 48.5%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but underdeveloped Ttuan economy, worth 12.8 trillion rubles a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is broadly diversified, is led by the Tourism industry, with significant contributions from Soda Sales, Retail, and Woodchip Exports. Average income is 33,613 rubles, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ttu's national animal is the dove.

Ttu is ranked 201,361^st in the world and 6^th in Mix for Rudest Citizens, with 39.64 insults per minute.
