The Akashan Union of Tiburon is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, ruled by Saraswati Tripathi-Fähnrich with a fair hand, and notable for its compulsory vegetarianism, punitive income tax rates, and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate, democratic, cheerful population of 44.878 billion Akashans enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

The medium-sized, outspoken government prioritizes Education, with Industry, Welfare, and Healthcare also on the agenda, while Spirituality and Law & Order aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Scheria Montes. The income tax rate is 100%.

The frighteningly efficient Akashan economy, worth an astonishing 15,106 trillion alkos a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is broadly diversified, is led by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Book Publishing, Tourism, and Arms Manufacturing. Average income is an amazing 336,606 alkos, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Tiburon's children are widely acknowledged as the most foul-mouthed in the region, disability advocates are not amused that they are told to be dependent on Akashans's kindness, access to the woods is only granted to those who bring a small shrubbery, and any body part that can be cut off a person is no longer considered to be their property. Crime is totally unknown. Tiburon's national animal is the gandaberunda, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Tiburon is ranked 4,866^th in the world and 1^st in Scroll Islands for Most Extensive Public Healthcare, scoring 9,736.41 on the Theresa-Nightingale Rating.
