The United Kingdom of Thorn124 is a mammoth, efficient nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape, keen interest in outer space, and zero percent divorce rate. The hard-nosed, humorless, devout population of 8.628 billion Thorn124ians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Administration. The average income tax rate is 76.6%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Thorn124ian economy, worth a remarkable 1,035 trillion Golds a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, Information Technology, and Automobile Manufacturing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 119,991 Golds, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Calling dibs is an unalienable right, an increasing percentage of the population's youth have homosexual parents, Scoutmasters debate whether luxury log cabins defeat the purpose of camping, and the nation has nearly as many history museums as Thorn124ians. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Thorn124's national animal is the Wolf, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Thorn124 is ranked 17,537^th in the world and 1^st in Doveland for Highest Poor Incomes, with 98,234.93 Standard Monetary Units.
