Safe drinking water is considered a luxury, surrealist houses shaped like mushrooms and volcanoes dominate the wealthiest neighborhoods, the only position a woman can hold is baby-maker, and studio executives abandon tragic stories of star-crossed lovers because "it's been done". Crime is pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Sunny Europe's national animal is the Tiger, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.
