The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 4.084 billion Teccyians are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

The minute, pro-business government, or what there is of one, prioritizes Defense, although Law & Order and Industry are also considered important, while Spirituality and International Aid receive no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of City Lizard. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 4.9%.

The very strong Teccyian economy, worth 249 trillion dragonpieces a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Pizza Delivery. Average income is 61,154 dragonpieces, but there is an enormous disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 387,427 per year while the poor average 4,016, a ratio of 96.5 to 1.

City rooftops are pockmarked with the shattered remains of high velocity delivery drones, Teccy has designated City Lizard as its capital city, Big Lizard has just been declared ruler of Teccy in an international press conference, and a major religion has been named as Teccy's national religion. Crime is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Teccy's national animal is the rock, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.
