The Zāwiyah of Tariqa is a titanic, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its frequent executions, public floggings, and punitive income tax rates. The compassionate, democratic, devout population of 21.043 billion Muridin are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The large, socially-minded, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Spirituality, and Education. The average income tax rate is 56.5%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The large but stagnant Murid economy, worth 410 trillion Jasmines a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is broadly diversified, is led by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry, with major contributions from Soda Sales, Woodchip Exports, and Uranium Mining. Average income is 19,522 Jasmines, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Crime is totally unknown. Tariqa's national animal is the Bird.

Tariqa is ranked 172,150^th in the world and 1^st in Aden for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 338.03 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
