The Colony of Ryushi is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by Legate Machiko Noguchi with an even hand, and notable for its compulsory military service. The hard-working, devout population of 2.197 billion Ryushians are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Spirituality, Welfare, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Chigusa. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 11.4%.

The very strong Ryushian economy, worth 153 trillion denaris a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Pizza Delivery industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, and Book Publishing. Average income is 69,644 denaris, with the richest citizens earning 8.3 times as much as the poorest.

Legate Machiko Noguchi has just been declared ruler of Ryushi in an international press conference, the military is researching proton packs and PK-meters to combat "unseen enemy forces", sharing vacation pictures requires written consent from the entire beach resort, and organ donation rates are among the lowest in the region. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Ryushi's national animal is the dragon, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is Tellurism.

Ryushi is ranked 267,790^th in the world and 492^nd in Aeternum for Highest Average Tax Rates, with 11.35 Effective Tax Rate.
