Delegation to the World Assembly
The Roylaiian Delegation to the World Assembly (RDWA) serves as the Roylaii's voice in the World Assembly and is responsible for carrying out the Empire's participation in both chambers. Headed by the Ambassador to the World Assembly, currently Sir Robert Poirot, the delegation is a vital part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and handles all matters pertaining to the World Assembly.
Oversight is provided by the House of Delegates Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee for World Assembly Affairs who also vets the appointment of the Ambassador themselves.
The Current Ambassador is former Prime Minister Sir Robert Poirot. Born in 1955 into the House of Poirot, a great aristocratic family distantly related to the great Ruellan Clan, he and his close family have served as ranking civil servants from his father Hugh (Who was Prime Minister from 1980 to 1992), his brother Thibault (the incumbent Senate Minority Leader) and his nephew Jacques (The incumbent Opposition Leader). He served as Prime Minister from 2000 to 2008 and then as a senator from 2016 to 2022 representing Valaraiai. Awarded the Imperial Order of Merit and made a Knight of the Order of Neme in 2012.
