The Republic of Rincewind is a mammoth, efficient nation, notable for its burgeoning Luggage population. The hard-working population of 7.991 billion Rincewindians are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Welfare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 11.0%.

The very strong Rincewindian economy, worth 431 trillion rhinus a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with significant contributions from Woodchip Exports, Arms Manufacturing, and Furniture Restoration. Average income is 53,945 rhinus, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 160,399 per year while the poor average 14,224, a ratio of 11.3 to 1.

Crime is a problem. Rincewind's national animal is the Luggage, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

Rincewind is ranked 116,727^th in the world and 1^st in Ankh Morpork for Most Secular, with 17.19 Atheism Rate.
