The Republic of Quchan is a mammoth, safe nation, renowned for its burgeoning dove population. The hard-nosed population of 9.187 billion Quchanians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government prioritizes Defense, with Law & Order, Healthcare, and Administration also on the agenda, while Industry is ignored. The average income tax rate is 24.3%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient Quchanian economy, worth 340 trillion marks a year, is led by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry, with major contributions from Gambling, Trout Farming, and Arms Manufacturing. Average income is 36,957 marks, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The nation's navy has been named the scourge of the seven thousand seas, war criminals are given full state funerals, an aboriginal talking stick is used for leaders' debates at election time, and voting is compulsory. Crime is almost non-existent, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Quchan's national animal is the dove.

Quchan is ranked 116,289^th in the world and 3^rd in Kavonia for Highest Poor Incomes, with 27,654.09 Standard Monetary Units.
