The Republic of Puppet23 is a mammoth, orderly nation, notable for its restrictive gun laws. The cynical population of 7.877 billion Puppet23ians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 28.5%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient Puppet23ian economy, worth 280 trillion rubledollars a year, is led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Beef-Based Agriculture, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Uranium Mining. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 35,562 rubledollars, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.2 times as much as the poorest.

Crime is almost non-existent, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Puppet23's national animal is the hawk.

Puppet23 is ranked 150,350^th in the world and 1^st in Satla for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 411.34 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
