The Republic of Poseria is a very large, genial nation, notable for its compulsory military service, punitive income tax rates, and devotion to social welfare. The devout population of 206 million Poseriaks are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Spirituality, and Education. The average income tax rate is 65.4%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but stagnant Poserian economy, worth 4.27 trillion Poserian Dinars a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector is led by the Door-to-door Insurance Sales industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology, Book Publishing, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Average income is 20,750 Poserian Dinars, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Protests are illegal, it's considered a civil right to be allowed to neglect and mistreat your own children, in a desperate bid for cheap airfare Poseriaks can be seen jogging in a rubber suit just before flying, and escalators are avoided at all costs. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Poseria's national animal is the The Grey Wolf, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Poseria is ranked 242,581^st in the world and 14^th in The Belkans for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring -3.22 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
