The Kingdom of Panly is a titanic, orderly nation, remarkable for its avowedly heterosexual populace, state-planned economy, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 11.786 billion Panlyians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The medium-sized, corrupt, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Industry. The average income tax rate is 43.7%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The all-consuming Panlyian economy, worth a remarkable 1,501 trillion rupees a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, fairly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Trout Farming, Information Technology, and Beef-Based Agriculture. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 127,355 rupees, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.6 times as much as the poorest.

Asking 'does my bum look big in this?' leads to 30 hours of self-esteem classes, cassocked priests and choirboys believe that what happens behind closed doors stays behind closed doors, it isn't a secret plot without caviar and foie gras, and windows in Panly City don't have much of a view. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Panly's national animal is the crocodile, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Panly is ranked 18,134th in the world and 1st in Divide by zero for Most Influential, scoring 3,145 on the Soft Power Disbursement Rating.
