The United Regions of NSLeft is a titanic, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its ban on automobiles, irreverence towards religion, and stringent health and safety legislation. The quiet, industrious population of 23.97 billion leftists are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 43.0%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but sluggish leftist economy, worth 607 trillion free exchanges a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Trout Farming, Cheese Exports, and Woodchip Exports. Black market activity is notable. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 25,343 free exchanges, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Voting is voluntary, euthanasia is legal, political parties are banned from advertising and receiving private donations, and cars are banned. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. NSLeft's national animal is the dove, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

NSLeft is ranked 102,647^th in the world and 3^rd in NSLeft for Largest Welfare Programs, scoring 1,373.94 on the Safety Net Mesh Density Rating.
