The Community of Noriker is a mammoth, efficient nation, remarkable for its enslaved workforce, compulsory military service, and absence of drug laws. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 8.034 billion Norikerians are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The relatively small, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Administration. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 15.0%.

The powerhouse Norikerian economy, worth 594 trillion marks a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Woodchip Exports industry, with major contributions from Gambling, Arms Manufacturing, and Information Technology. Average income is 73,916 marks, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 490,213 per year while the poor average 4,275, a ratio of 114 to 1.

APCs on school runs disgorge kids via assault ramps, forest fires have dropped dramatically as there are hardly any forests left, the government regrets to say that it is forced to make cuts to citizens, and commuters travel in zigzags to avoid stalking accusations. Crime is moderate. Noriker's national animal is the Noriker, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Noriker is ranked 262,728^th in the world and 157^th in Safari for Nicest Citizens, with 4 average smiles per day.
