The Republic of Identity-Theft is a small, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its irreverence towards religion, complete absence of social welfare, and spontaneously combusting cars. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 40 million Identity-Theftians live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

The minute, liberal, pro-business, outspoken government, or what there is of one, is primarily concerned with Defense, with Healthcare also on the agenda, while International Aid and Spirituality aren't funded at all. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 4.3%.

The strong Identity-Theftian economy, worth 2.13 trillion dollars a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is fairly diversified and led by the Basket Weaving industry, with major contributions from Trout Farming, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Tourism. Average income is 53,187 dollars, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 342,798 per year while the poor average 3,334, a ratio of 102 to 1.

Crime is a major problem, probably because of the absence of a police force. Identity-Theft's national animal is the dove.

Identity-Theft is ranked 27,747th in the world and 2nd in Q Continuum for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring 5,815.74 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
