The Empire of HMS Begum is a mammoth, pleasant nation, remarkable for its burgeoning Kitsune population. The hard-working population of 5.329 billion HMS Begumians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Welfare. The average income tax rate is 20.8%.
The HMS Begumian economy, worth 222 trillion Delta Eagles a year, is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Book Publishing, Soda Sales, and Tourism. Average income is 41,720 Delta Eagles, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.6 times as much as the poorest.
Crime is relatively low, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. HMS Begum's national animal is the Kitsune.
HMS Begum is ranked 206,161st in the world and 5th in Shark for Highest Disposable Incomes, with 33,042.64 Standard Monetary Units.
