The cynical, devout population of 8.388 billion Gaimians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The large, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Spirituality, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Gaim Brood. The average income tax rate is 61.0%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The large but underdeveloped Gaimian economy, worth 331 trillion drones a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector is dominated by the Trout Farming industry, with significant contributions from Book Publishing, Woodchip Exports, and Retail. Average income is 39,537 drones, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Zesh has just been declared ruler of Gaim in an international press conference, Gaim has designated Gaim Brood as its capital city, it's believed that women's brains will overheat if they think for themselves, and visions of giant pink queens are a common side effect after Gaimians eat their meals. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Gaim's national animal is the queen and its national religion is evolution.
