The Nation Used by the Region of Edoca is a massive, genial nation, ruled by the Edocan Government with an even hand, and renowned for its museums and concert halls, frequent executions, and national health service. The compassionate, devout population of 1.62 billion Edocans are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Administration, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Cidade do Edoca. The average income tax rate is 73.1%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Edocan economy, worth 199 trillion edocan coins a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, fairly diversified black market in Tourism, Information Technology, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Book Publishing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 123,264 edocan coins, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.4 times as much as the poorest.

Terrorists are on a first name basis with the officials that stamp their passports, politicians accepting drinks in bars are executed for taking bribes, no one questions why the chicken crossed the road anymore, and funerals are often rudely interrupted by juggling clowns shouting for volunteers from the audience. Crime is totally unknown. Edoca's national animal is the llama, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Edoca is ranked 16,931st in the world and 8th in Edoca for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 3,749.39 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
