The Republic of Drums is a very large, efficient nation, renowned for its burgeoning house cat population. The hard-working, devout population of 278 million Drumsians are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The tiny government is primarily concerned with Spirituality, although Law & Order, Defense, and Healthcare are also considered important, while Environment and Social Policy receive no funds. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 6.3%.

The very strong Drumsian economy, worth 19.1 trillion bitcoins a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Gambling, Trout Farming, and Cheese Exports. Average income is 68,787 bitcoins, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 202,727 per year while the poor average 18,366, a ratio of 11.0 to 1.

The mining industry is making inroads into environmentally sensitive areas and it is illegal to make racist remarks in public. Crime is moderate, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Drums's national animal is the house cat.

Drums is ranked 90,375^th in the world and 1^st in Siblingd for Highest Unexpected Death Rate, scoring 35.15 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
