The United Federation of Daphomir is a mammoth, cultured nation, ruled by Kathryn Eleanor with an even hand, and notable for its national health service, daily referendums, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 5.535 billion Daphomirians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized, corrupt government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Administration, Industry, and Education are also considered important, while Spirituality receives no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Elttaes. The average income tax rate is 95.5%.

The frighteningly efficient Daphomirian economy, worth a remarkable 1,429 trillion luchiens a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology, Tourism, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Average income is an amazing 258,222 luchiens, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.6 times as much as the poorest.

Citizens are permitted to carry concealed handguns, signs at the border tell international drivers where they can put their cars, punitive tariffs protect local industry, and biotech companies are fined if their jumbled genetic sequences look too familiar. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Daphomir's national animal is the golden falcon, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Daphomir is ranked 9,389^th in the world and 3^rd in Astellaria for Highest Poor Incomes, with 129,896.52 Standard Monetary Units.
