The State of CMXI is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by the Governor with an even hand, and notable for its burgeoning deer population. The quiet, industrious population of 37.453 billion CMXIians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Education, Industry, and Welfare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Capital Heights. The average income tax rate is 42.7%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The CMXIian economy, worth a remarkable 1,494 trillion betales a year, is quite specialized and led by the Book Publishing industry, with major contributions from Furniture Restoration, Cheese Exports, and Gambling. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 39,911 betales, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Elected officials often serve for decades in a single term, extreme political groups are outlawed, CMXI has designated Capital Heights as its capital city, and The Governor has just been declared ruler of CMXI in an international press conference. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. CMXI's national animal is the deer.

CMXI is ranked 117,465^th in the world and 104^th in State for Safest, scoring 76.47 on the Bubble-Rapp Safety Rating.
