The Republic of CLM is a very large, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its keen interest in outer space, frequent executions, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-working, democratic population of 251 million CLMians hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The tiny, liberal, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Welfare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 8.8%.

The strong CLMian economy, worth 15.2 trillion Swits a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Soda Sales, and Uranium Mining. Average income is 60,676 Swits, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 4.7 times as much as the poorest.

Ancestry test results arrive bundled with patent applications, the government's new priority is citizens' access to cat videos, violent criminals are doomed to be hunted by a psychotic billionaire, and funny-looking kids are stood at the front of the classroom for everybody to point and laugh at. Crime, especially youth-related, is a problem, probably because of the absence of a police force. CLM's national animal is the Rattlesnake, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

CLM is ranked 56,907^th in the world and 3^rd in Indy for Largest Pizza Delivery Sector, scoring 3,430.44 on the Pepperoni Propulsion Productivity Index.
