The frighteningly efficient C-Cian economy, worth a remarkable 1,259 trillion guilders a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Woodchip Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 132,695 guilders, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.3 times as much as the poorest.

Gossip magazines have been replaced by mask catalogs, petitioners are increasingly resorting to climbing through Leader's window to draw attention to their issues, young people devote their entire lives to the faith, and visitors to C-C are microchipped and must be escorted by a C-Cian soldier - even to the bathroom.
