The Republic of Bucha 3 is a small, pleasant nation, renowned for its suspicion of poets. The hard-working population of 20 million Bucha 3ians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Spirituality. The average income tax rate is 22.3%.

The Bucha 3ian economy, worth 866 billion guilders a year, is led by the Gambling industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Furniture Restoration, and Cheese Exports. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 43,277 guilders, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.6 times as much as the poorest.

Corporations cut costs by taking away safety-features on their products, formerly fertile fields are being leached dry of nutrients by intensive farming, nature magazines featuring stick insects on their covers are sometimes mistaken for fashion magazines, and the government tries not to listen to the people unless it absolutely has to. Crime is relatively low, thanks to a capable police force. Bucha 3's national animal is the sheep.

Bucha 3 is ranked 263,658^th in the world and 8^th in Bucharestia for Smartest Citizens, with 20.16 quips per hour.
