The United States of BTS EMPIRE is a small, socially progressive nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape and compulsory military service. The compassionate, hard-working, democratic, devout population of 29 million BTS EMPIREians enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Spirituality, Welfare, and Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 12.4%.

The strong BTS EMPIREian economy, worth 1.45 trillion Bt21s a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Book Publishing industry, with major contributions from Cheese Exports, Uranium Mining, and Tourism. Average income is 50,066 Bt21s, with the richest citizens earning 7.8 times as much as the poorest.

Surveillance cameras are banned, it is illegal to make racist remarks in public, TV shows must meet strict ethnicity quotas, and some are born loving old plays and some have old plays thrust upon them. Crime, especially youth-related, is relatively low. BTS EMPIRE's national animal is the Whale, which can occasionally be seen avoiding garbage in the nation's murky oceans.

BTS EMPIRE is ranked 322,291^st in the world and 1,018^th in Concord for Largest Black Market, with 2.00 billion Standard Monetary Units.
