The State of Bani Harifa is a gargantuan, efficient nation, notable for its complete lack of public education, complete absence of social welfare, and spontaneously combusting cars. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 34.142 billion Bani Harifans are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

The tiny, pro-business, well-organized government prioritizes Law & Order, although Spirituality, Industry, and Defense are also considered important, while Welfare and Social Policy are ignored. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 7.8%.

The very strong Bani Harifan economy, worth a remarkable 1,193 trillion betales a year, is quite specialized and led by the Retail industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Pizza Delivery, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Average income is 34,967 betales, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 237,733 per year while the poor average 1,878, a ratio of 126 to 1.

Nudity is frowned upon, all tariffs have been abolished, the streets are increasingly clogged with poverty-stricken beggars, and the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit. Crime is a major problem. Bani Harifa's national animal is the deer, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

Bani Harifa is ranked 9,924^th in the world and 118^th in State for Highest Unexpected Death Rate, scoring 115.36 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
