The Empire of Arilation is a massive, genial nation, ruled by Neo Peters with a fair hand, and renowned for its avowedly heterosexual populace, frequent executions, and fear of technology. The compassionate, democratic population of 1.848 billion Arilatons enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

The medium-sized, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zion. The average income tax rate is 26.5%.

The sizeable but inefficient Arilationian economy, worth 78.9 trillion Remons a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Book Publishing industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Retail, and Pizza Delivery. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 42,707 Remons, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 4.7 times as much as the poorest.

Untold millions of Remons are going into a new government-funded maternity leave scheme, journalists giggle uncontrollably while reporting the nation's drug bonfires, a small country is wondering where their capitol building's gold dome went, and photos of picturesque coastal buildings are set against a backdrop of smokestacks and ship hulls. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Arilation's national animal is the Serbian Tiger, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

Arilation is ranked 44,653^rd in the world and 6^th in Novastralix for Nicest Citizens, with 18.02 average smiles per day.
