The Kingdom of Ardnale is a mid-sized, safe nation, remarkable for its burgeoning penguin population. The hard-nosed, devout population of 99 million Ardnaleans have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Spirituality. The average income tax rate is 21.4%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but inefficient Ardnalean economy, worth 4.36 trillion Orsters a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Furniture Restoration industry, with major contributions from Uranium Mining, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Retail. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 44,057 Orsters, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.5 times as much as the poorest.

Crime is almost non-existent, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ardnale's national animal is the penguin.

Ardnale is ranked 200,976^th in the world and 5^th in Pisces for Highest Average Tax Rates, with 21.39 Effective Tax Rate.
